1) The heart of a woman

This is a journey of discovery. That we would discover who God meant us to be.

What does it mean to be a woman? What is my calling in life? What does God value? What does He want from me? What do I want? And is that okay?

We are not carbon copies of each other. Not at all. God loves diversity and Has fashioned each of us uniquely and well. There is one thing all women share, and that is a feminine heart. We have to start there because as the scriptures tell us, the heart is the center of it all.

Proverbs 4:23 says, "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life."

Think about it, God made you as a woman.

God created man in His own image...male and female He created them"(Genesis 1:27)

Whatever it means to bear God's image, you do so as a woman. Female. You bear God's image within your heart as He created you. Yourfeminine heart was created with the greatest of all possible dignities....as a refection of God's own heart. So the journey to discover what God meant when He created woman in His image--when He created you as His woman--that journey begins with your heart. Simply put with desire.

This study has deeply touched my soul on how very special it is to be a woman. He created women, not to be 2nd class to men but to be our Creator's Master touch to a beautiful painting. We have deep with our hearts, the desire to be romanced, the desire toplay an irreplaceable role, and we have the desire to unveil a beauty all our own to those all around us. This was who we were created to be....but sometimes life has a way of stealing our desires and squashing the passions out of us to really live as God intended. Your heart matters greatly to Him! There is a freedom of heart to regain who God meant us to truly become. There is so much hope here, hope to become the woman you secretly long to be, the woman who is romanced, irreplaceable and utterly beautiful!

I feel victorious to lead so many hearts through this study and have humbly asked God to guide me through this awesome privelege, that only comes through Him....especially with my 17 year old daughter who is also going through the Captivating book. And the 20 ladies in my weekday group who are discovering that they, too have a beauty all their own! Glory!! This is a message from God to set the captives free, to allow women to live out their whole hearts for Him....and He is using John & Stasi Eldridge's book as a conduit of His healing and love. I am mighty jazzed at the profoundness of this calling stirring deep within my own heart. Awaken souls!
