  1. The confounding factor in timelines is that I've never ran a fever nor tested positive.
  2. Talked to my main counterpart at work this morning. I'm back in the office, but wearing a mask until everyone in our house is cleared.
  3. I’m still testing negative and not running a temp. Feeling fine, just teensy bit tired. Need to talk to work and see when they won’t freak out if I come in.
  4. So... COVID has apparently changed. First symptom we've all had is a sore throat, then fatigue (mine has been very light, but I was also the last to get it and had been taking supplements to help fight it). The sore throat goes away rather quickly (within a day, probably less), then your throat just feels odd. I've had much worse sore throats with sinus infections and bronchitis. The fatigue makes it where you don't particularly FEEL tired until you start trying to do something. Hubby found that out when he went stir crazy and started rearranging furniture. I'm just hanging out in my chair playing video games and reading. I'm probably going to actually take a nap, which is very rare for me. I'm probably out from work for most of the next week as well (I originally came home on Tuesday at the end of the day, after hubby tested positive). A friend said that the fatigue can last a week or 2, so I may end up with a cot and sleeping bag hiding in the back at work (nobody will give me crap for that, unless it's for that fact that I'm actually THERE and they think I should stay home longer to recover - we're all a bunch of workaholics in that office).
  5. Husband and kids went to summer camp. Husband and kids came back with COVID. So, now we're all quarantined. Blargh. Mostly minor symptoms and sleepy. I'm still testing negative, temp & O2 are fine.
  6. Part of the purpose of sites like Etsy is that the individual sellers should never have your actual credit card info. If that's what caused it, there's a massive failure somewhere. I believe that Walmart's HQ is in Arkansas, so that's where the charges show regardless of where they've submitted from.
  7. Oh, and the AC? Went out again on Thursday. AC guy came out on Friday and put something called a kick-start on the compressor so it will hopefully survive the summer, but says we'll probably need a new compressor next summer. Hoping we can save up enough to get a larger unit that can keep up when it's over 100F out. I picked up two GermGuardian air purifiers on sale at Best Buy. They definitely seem to be helping, but I definitely need more. Hubby insists we need to get the vents cleaned. I'm thinking it might help more if we managed to get rid of the dust bunnies...
  8. When we went through Lowe's, they said there was a nationwide thing affecting debit processing, but the same card could be processed as credit without an issue.
  9. Monday: Worked late, slept in the camper since the AC was out in the house. Tuesday: Woke up in the camper feeling fine, made coffee in the house, drank it on the front porch while waiting on the AC guy, AC got fixed, left for work. Came home late from work again, went in the nice cool house. An hour later, my sinuses are pissed off, my nose is running like a faucet, and I have a headache. Methinks there might be something in our house that doesn't like me. Probably dust. Lots and lots of dust. We really need to get better at housekeeping.
  10. We have air conditioning again! (I spent the night out in the camper last night) Turns out it was a blown capacitor. Or something like that.
  11. Theoretically, we might get some rain next week. Supposed to be 102F today. We turned on the AC in the camper this morning so that even if we can't get an AC guy out today, we can sleep in the cool tonight! Here's hoping I found all my chocolate stashes to stick in the fridge!
  12. AC is blowing, but not cooling. Ants in the kitchen. I would say wake me up when it’s all been taken care of, but it’s too hot to go back to bed. Argh.
  13. Grocery store had a bunch of ground beef for 25% off (making it around $3-3.25/lb). Bought about 12 pounds. Browned it all, packaged in ~1 lb containers in the freezer for easy meals, plus made half of it taco meat, and used some of that to make some beef enchiladas to have in the freezer since hubby keeps planning stuff where I’m the only one home for dinner and I generally don’t feel like cooking when that happens.
  14. This looks intriguing: https://goatmilkformula.com
  15. As far as kids go, talk to the church. Ours will offer childcare for practically any event where it's needed.
  16. I think it’s the same formula. Both from the WPF. Cricket - I quit asking doctors things about nutrition. They generally have enough training to prevent rickets, and that’s about it. There are some who do extra training on their own, but practically none is required to earn their MD.
  17. Just ran across this, if anybody needs it. She has one made from dairy, and says there's one in the video made with meat, it sounds like. I'm at work, so no chance to watch the video, but sounds intriguing. https://deeprootsathome.com/formula-recipe-nutritious-homemade/
  18. My husband had Lasik as well. One of the kids asked why he was getting it. I held up my hand about a foot from her face and asked her if she could count my fingers without her glasses on. She said yes. I told her that he could barely see that my hand was there - he's legally blind without correction.
  19. Don't be silly. It's an investment. In your brain. And the brains of whoever else you allow access.
  20. This is why I can't read fiction books in the evenings.
  21. Thanks! We’re in “act broke “cause you are” mode until hubby starts a new job in May, so I got a Blizzard.
  22. I love that book, and am anxiously awaiting her Kitchen book!
  23. Chevy and a local dealership are replacing his truck with a brand new shiny one. Apparently that might have been the best advertising they've had in years.
  24. We're far away from that. Just got heavy winds! A friend near Elgin was a mile away from the tornadoes there.
