  1. Is thatall it takes to get her to pop in?
  2. I saw a post on FB that had me craving corndog casserole. Hadn't made it in YEARS, so I texted a friend to be sure I remembered it. Eating it now. It is so good!
  3. OHOHOH!! I made SheWoff's baked beans a few days ago. I was SOOOOO excited, because at the last house, all I could do was WBC on a GLASS top (we rented, so I was NOT taking chances with a stove that wasn't mine!!).
  4. Mmmmm, but they're so good. A tad on the sweet side, but yummy! Muscadines, too.
  5. Doggone it. I was going to suggest pallets/
  6. Oooo, he knows he's handsome. Look at him posing in that indoor picture!!
  7. FYI, turtles LOVE snails. I have no idea how that would work, but they will chomp right through the shells! Turtle tractor?
  8. I know guineas are voracious bug eaters. I got mine specifically for the tick issue we were having at the last house. The boys & pets never came in with a tick after started letting them out. Thanks for the info on the worm & livestock & pets. We have 2 barn cats for rodent control, but they are the sweetest girls & I'd hate for anything to happen to them. Our dog is leashed, so he stays in the yard, again, I don't know how often the deer get inside. Thankfully my boys are not ruminants, so I imagine they're ok, LOL!
  9. Can you define "run ducks." I have 3, but I imagine that wouldn't be enough?? We have fencing (electric when it's on), but I don't know how long it's been there & it's not tall enough they can't jump it. We've never seen them inside the fence (only on the next property outside the fencing), but I know that's not necessarily preventative. Also, what about chickens & guineas? Can this affect cats & dogs? So many questions, but this is so new to me. I thank you for any info!
  10. We2, I have some of that as well Trudy, thank you! We have one small town grocery store here, a tiny Walmart & a Save-a-lot. Everything here is more expensive than what I'm used to, which is why I ask!
  11. How much do you pay for dry milk & cheese powder? What brand? Where do you get it (Grocery, Online, Co-op)? And last- what GENERAL area are you in? I'm looking at some milk from a co-op. It is low heat processed, no hormones/etc, gluten free, etc. The cheese powder has the same qualities, plus it's organic. I want to see if it's as good a deal as I think it is. LOL!
  12. This stuff is amazing. My recipe was equal parts of all the food, chopped fine, cover with ACV. But OOPS, I let it steep WAY too long. No biggie. It works.
  13. I use RRL tea, sass. I also do mag baths (also GREAT for hormonal issues & SOOOOO much else- magnesium is one of my faves with no known contraindictions or side effects, other than topical itching & burning sensation IF you're deficient). Vitex, aka chasteberry, is good for hormones, B12 & there's another.... OH, Evening Primrose Oil is smething you may want to look into. I have a complete regime I do. If you want me to email it to you, pm me your email address. I can fwd it to you sass. I have PTLS,so I've studied the hormonal issues extensively & found what works for me (and others have had success with it as well).
  14. Just wanted to mention that if you have thyroid issues, do NOT use lemon balm. I found this out after I posted on the subject last year. I was SOOOO bummed. I'm working on my thryoid & adrenals now, so hopefully I can do lemon balm again!
  15. Llama, rabbit & worm poop are all cool fertilizers. You can also direct compost other cool items- veggie peels, cores, skins, etc. If you KNOW the compost has been given time to cure, till it in, plant & go!
  16. Hello all! Got the interwebz hooked up today, YAY! We are thrilled to be here, thrilled to have space again, thrilled with the property & all we can do & VERY thrilled to be near Wormie! Hopefully & with lots of prayer, we can buy this place in a couple years. Looking SO forward to that! Not done unpacking yet but slowly working our way through. We don't have a lot of storage, so tomorrow we're headed into the "big city" to find some utility cabinets. There's not much here at all. We have ONE small hardware store, family owned, & it closes at 5, LOL. You can see from one of the other at the Walmart here. I had to ask if they closed, because it's that small Surprisingly, they're open 24h. Anyhoo, the Hubba will be home soon. I'm off to do what more I can with unpacking (at kinda a standstill until we get to the "big city" to get those cabinets). Thank you ALL for the prayers during this very stressful transition & especially to John for being our ear on the ground & for his help unloading!
  17. Haha, I've done that We2!! We also have mobile hotspot, but we're on a shared plan, so can't use too much on the laptop as it sucks data. Yesterday, we had 3 folks come help us. We had both trucks loaded in 5.5 hours, including lunch break. WHAT A BLESSING!!! Today, we're just getting started. We're cleaning, packing the last little bits up, taking oldest & his girlfriend out to eat later, then home to pack the van & get the rest of the livestock feed & such picked up/packed/put away. We'll leave in the morning. Little by little.
