  1. Just checking in....I'm at my parents house in Mexico...and their scale says I weigh about 177 lbs or so! YAY!!! Now...I wonder if the scale is right....
  2. Oh! Me! Pick me! Pick me! Diagnosed in 2006, went through some treatment to be able to concive again, didn't happen. I've lost at least 50lbs since being diagnosed....YAY!
  3. Thak you, John....it was. Mostly. Coming here helped!
  4. Praying here too, Snowmom. How's it going?
  5. Ohhhhh.........thank you soooooo much everyone! This means a lot to me.... I know I haven't been posting much...but I'm lurking....bwahahahahaha....watch what you say! Really, seeing this meant a lot...thank you!
  6. Oh! And thanks for the encouragement! I really appreciate it!
  7. How would I calculate the miles if I'm going to Curves? I went around once today....tomorrow will be normal....any ideas?
  8. thank you, tocaya! (don't know what that means? It's Spanish....same name! ) My original goal was 200. Then 195. Now I've set my eyes on the prize....but yes, I see what you mean.... The thing is, I've not really changed my lifestyle. Really. No diets, no excersize. So I'm really looking forward to what Curves can do! I hope.... So. Chocolate?
  9. I know I haven't shared here for a while. I remember how depresed (okay, not terribly depressed!) that I wasn't losing weight. In Sept. '06, I found out that I had a, hmmmmm, condition, that didn't allow me to lose weight (something to do with my insulin!). So, now on medication, I've lost about 45lbs since then! Woooohoooo! And now, I'm going to start going to Curves and try to get into better shape. I can't wait! I start Monday. I'm 5'8", and weighed in this morning at just under 190lbs. Okay, 188, but at the end of the day, it was 191, so I compromize. My goal is to get down at least to 165lbs, and if possible, 155lbs. What do you think? Is it possible? Can I do it? I know I can, I just hope to convince myself of that!
  10. Yes. Sat. we'll go to my inlaws for one set of family. Sunday will be our church Christmas celebration. Christmas Eve with another side of the family. Christmas morning at home, afternoon at inlaws again. Busy, busy!
  11. Sorry, Leah. Wasn't trying to start anything....just thought it a good story.
  12. I'm not sure if this has been posted here yet or not, so I'd thought I would....just a reminder of the Reason for the season.... WHO STARTED CHRISTMAS? This morning I heard a story on the radio of a woman who was out Christmas shopping with her two children. After many hours of looking at row after row of toys and everything else imaginable, and after hours of hearing both her children asking for everything they saw on those many shelves, she finally made it to the elevator with her two kids. She was feeling what so many of us feel during the holiday season time of the year. Overwhelming pressure to go to every party, every housewarming, taste all the holiday food and treats, getting that perfect gift for every single person on our shopping list, making sure we don't forget anyone on our card list, and the pressure of making sure we respond to everyone who sent us a card. Finally the elevator doors opened and there was already a crowd in the car. She pushed her way into the car and dragged her two kids in with her and all the bags of stuff. When the doors closed she couldn't take it anymore and stated, "Whoever started this whole Christmas thing should be found, strung up and shot." From the back of the car everyone heard a quiet calm voice respond, "Don't worry we already crucified him." For the rest of the trip down the elevator it was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. Don't forget this year to keep the One who started this whole Christmas thing in your every thought, deed, purchase, and word. If we all did it, just think of how different this whole world would be. -- Author Unknown
