Darlene
I'm the one that will be putting our smilies back. Right now, I'm swamped with trying to get my house sold so I'll probably work on it a little at a time as soon as MM teaches me how to do it. Hang in there. Link to comment
Amishway Homesteaders
That OK know you are busy. . . . Hope you sell soon so you can move and get that garden in this year. good luck. Hey how did the jam do - how many jars? Link to comment
westbrook
hiccups... go to your local bar and ask the bartender to put "bitters" on 2 pieces of lime. suck on the limes. the hiccups will be gone before you put down the second lime. very old cure and it does work. I keep a bottle of bitters in my refrigerator and since I don't always have fresh limes, I use lime or lemon juice. I have the kids put it on a spoon... tablespoon, filled 1/2 bitters and 1/2 lime or lemon juice. Link to comment
PoGo
Nine swallows of water without breathing, has always rid me of the hiccups. (My grandmother taught me this trick.) Fill a glass with water Take a big, deep breath...while holding that breath Drink nine swallows of the water, (they can be small sips, but must be exactly nine swallows) Exhale, start breathing normally and Ta-Da - hiccups are gone!
