Purdy Bear
Iv done my family history on and off for a few years now and its in a complete and total mess. Can anyone recommend a way to get all the paperwork organized. I cant use a programme at the moment as I use my brothers lap top to surf the net, so I dont want to use up his memory. Im a member of genes reunited UK, so have the tree on there any how. I have two folders, and numerous scribble books, some graph papers with it all on. Total Mess. HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP! Thanks Purdy Link to comment
Momo
Maybe you could enter it using your brothers computer and write all the data to a disk instead of the hard drive. That way it won't use up your bro's memory. I hope this will work for you. I sympathize. My research is still in several boxes. It sure adds up fast! Link to comment
Purdy Bear
Found this website, that gives a clear plan to organize etc the family tree. It also gives you links to free geneology pages: http://www.makemyfamilytree.com/html/guide...tree_guide.html Link to comment
The MacKinnon
Purdy, I've posted this site before, but it has some great forms - clear, easy to fill out: http://www.misbach.org Look for the "Free Charts" under Free Stuff" in the box on the left of the screen, and when you get there, scroll down and look for 'Grandma's Box Chart', which is really neat. Great helps. Link to comment
