Page 5 has a section called "Snake Free Areas" that says do not pick up a snake without severing the head. A family story goes like this: When my grandparents were first married my Grand dad was out in the back yard mowing and ran over a water moccasin. the head was bouncing "chasing him. He ran away from it remembering to zig and zag but forgot to let go of the mower handle. After it finally died he went into the house and was pouring sweat, shaking and standing at the kitchen sink getting a drink of water when my grandmother came into the kitchen, looked out the kitchen window at the big old mess my Grand Dad made of the grass and asked in shock, "Is THAT the way you mow the lawn?"
