Regarding the "edit" button

I always thought this forum had an edit button available to past threads or posts, but I see it's no longer visible. I was wondering if the administrator of the board, would make it possible for it's availability permanently?

Hi Domestic....are you meaning to edit your own posts? Darlene has it set for being available for a limited time. That's so someone doesn't edit out a bunch of stuff way after the fact and throw off the sequence of a thread.

 

If there is something specific, a mod or admin can change something for you.

It's annoying to me.

 

I hate going back to an older post and having trouble deciphering what I had written, and being unable to clean it up, or to correct my abysmal spelling.

 

I do understand how some people can use the edit for deception, but I think that's a stretch. On some other boards where this happens, someone just quotes them. Then the quote post remains unchanged.
