Prayer request for my son

Recommended Posts

My son just got out of the Army. He spent a year in Afghanistan. He's been staying with us for the past 2 months, while he gets situated. Tonight dh and I had an argument, and ds blew up in a rage and stormed out of the house. We could not stop him. Please lift him up in prayer. He has rage issues since he got back to the states.

Thank you all for your prayers. Ds came back the next morning, but he's been kind of quiet. Maybe he is worried about how he reacted to us, I don't know. He won't talk about his emotional explosions, or what's going on in his mind when he does that. He's the only one of my 4 kids that has no relationship to the Lord, and he lacks that spiritual strength and God's input to guide him through this. I appreciate any prayer y'all might offer on his behalf.

Glad to hear he is back home. Sounds like he needs someone to talk to. Maybe a non family member where he can 'spill his guts' and not be afraid of hurting anyones feelings.

Continued

Does he has VA Services available anywhere nearby? What about a VFW or American Legion? Sometimes even talking with some "old timers" who understand can help as well. Different wars, but you can still relate pretty much. If there is somewhere for him to get VA services he can get help for PTSD or any other issues he may have. They are making some amazing strides in treatment for PTSD, TBIs and so much more.

agreed with CLEE, am a peacetime vet but deal with many vets who are war veterans. If not VAMC type services your county or a tri county area may have a non profit run Mental Health Association or club system and they also do alot for veterans , and anger management and various coping classes in a good setting. He may just find another vet to talk to there as well who went through the same things. In fact between the two orgs is what helps me the most. Very different styles and its up to the individual really what they want to be involved in.

Prayer raised for all of you.
