Ancestry.com have you done the free 14 day trial?

Recommended Posts

I've been looking at the web site and they offer a free 14 day trial. Is it easy to cancel and owe nothing after the 14 days are up? Or do they hassle you and make it difficult?

I have done it. Just be sure to call in time so your card doesn't get charged.

I wish they would just give the trial without having a credit card number. It would make it easier for us, but I guess they make money from people who don't cancel the trial in time.

Yes..I found alot of good info. The last time I did the free trial was a few years back and I know they have added alot more since then.

Happy hunting!

I thought about doing the same thing - UNTIL I read reviews online. Apparently, in some cases, they held onto people's numbers and kept charging their card.............

Simone..just make sure to write down your cancellation number and if Ancestry still charges you , your credit card company will refund your charge.

The LDS church owns Ancestry.

My daughter and I both did the 14 day trial and had no problem at all canceling.

I have found ALOT of family info. After my trail was over I was still able to find some stuff. Last month I sign up for a 6 month membership and my tree has grown!!!!

I have been tempted to do this but, just haven't found the time when I can take 14 days to work in there.

I have gotten help from there as someone nice on here did some research for me. Thanks again.
