awwwwwwwww...(((((reci)))))

Yeah it really is a blessing to walk out to the back yard and pick a given piece of fruit. Although I was born in the south, I was raised in the north and things that were plants up there are trees down here...LOL

You're welcome to come and visit any time and pick your own fruit. When Homey was here a few times, she had fun doing that.

I was sitting here thinking "Darn, I promised to pick all the Mangoes at Aunt Carmen's."Chores to one is heaven to another? LOL

I go with Darlene on it's a pleasure to see everything from riotous bromiliads, fences draped in greenery-ala-tropics to fruit laden trees, but I sometimes envy you your open fields,Mountains, domestic animals (the homestead bunch is probably OVER my questions) and change in seasons.

Okay..you wouldn't see a chance but we would, you'd be out in shirt sleeves in the 50º weather going "what?"

We'd be frozen going " The Cold, it's winter!!"

"where?"

LOL,

Cookie

*carefully clearing throat* rolleyes.gif

There's another reason why Darlene doesn't live up North anymore.

*flipping thru dictionary for gentle words*

When she visited Camp Homey last year, all the squirrels went ballistic.

She's a nutcase.

Stay with the citrus, sweetie. You don't do well with the northern wildlife. grin.gif

Don't believe a word that woman says...

If *I* remember correctly, when she ran outta water and we were in the middle of making gravey for dinner, *I* was the one who thought of using icecubes to thin the gravey...

OBVIOUSLY, I am a VERY resourceful girl!

*smile*

*I* wasn't going to mention the gravy, Dar. But now that you let your skeleton out of the closet ..... I'll finish the story.

While *you* were running thru my kitchen with a spoon dripping gravy all over my wooden floor, I quietly headed for the refrig to get some milk for the doughy gravy.

I remember the comments from your kiddos later .........

"It's hard to tell the ice cubes from mom's lumpy gravy."

"It was a good idea, I thought. It helped solidify all the floating grease."

"I didn't care. At least she served dinner before her usual 11 pm time."

Don't kids say the craziest things? grin.gif
