I have a mac with iCloud but not kindle. My daughter got me a ASUS with Kindle. Amazon will not allow me to down load because I have two computers. As I said I do not have kindle on this computer but what is that to them? So now that I do have kindle on the ASUS I still cannot down load books.

If anyone knows how to fix my problem?

Twilight,

On your Mac, click on the little apple (very top left), choose "App Store". Type in Kindle in the search box and download the app from there.

Then, open your Kindle application, click MrsSurvival page, then, click on the link for the book you want, when the page comes up, log in with your email & password, (I sometimes have to click back on MrsS and re-click on the book link.), then buy the book... free of course...

Then, click on your Kindle application again. Next to the "Library" button, click on the refresh symbol. Screen Shot 2014-01-04 at 7.29.42 AM.png

That should work.

My Mac is a 2008 OS-X 10.5.8 and there is neither Kindle or Chrome for this version.

I really prefer to read real books but there are those i would like to download on the ASUS and take it with me

on the many trips I have had to make for my ward. But I can neither download on the Mac or the ASUS due the Amazon rules.

They say i have to deregister one or the other. I was not aware i had registered either one, certainly not the ASUS.

Just more proof that the internet is/can be invasive.

Liberty Gulch

http://www.amazon.com/Liberty-Gulch-G-Fredericks-ebook/dp/B00DIJ8OK8/ref=sr_1_4?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1389075953&sr=1-4&keywords=free+books

Ray Stanton and his wife Charlotte never expected to live a life in the country, but find themselves doing just that after events beyond their control push them from their beloved city. When the dollar collapses, a scene of violence and hunger erupts. The rich hunker down or flee altogether, while the middle class and the poor are left to battle it out over the remaining resources like food and energy.

By nationalizing large farms and setting up voluntary food camps, the government offers the people an escape from their hardships. Along with some old friends, Ray and his family choose to "rough it" and take care of themselves. After an especially harsh winter, a late night knock on the door brings news of what the voluntary food camps have truly become, and good people are forced to make a difficult decision - to maintain the status quo and hope things get better, or to bravely fight against tyranny.

Rescuing Liberty

http://www.amazon.com/Rescuing-Liberty-Perseverance-Amanda-Washington-ebook/dp/B00F7SY560/ref=sr_1_9?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1389075953&sr=1-9&keywords=free+books

Six months ago Liberty Collins was advancing in her career at a prosperous marketing firm and dreaming of a bright future. Now the only thing darker than her nightmares is reality.

In a socially, and economically, collapsed America, Liberty struggles to find the courage to endure, and the strength to protect herself. Her faith, constitution, and sanity are challenged as the lines that separate right from wrong grow increasingly blurry.

Connor Dunstan was a thriving personal injury attorney with a comfortable life and a deeply-buried past. As the country crumbles and provisions dissipate, the survival of Connor and his unforgiving niece, Ashley, rests on his ability to trust someone other than himself.

I read Liberty Gulch this week. Not bad. Some believability issues but I don't mind that as long as they aren't promoting dangerous things.

Just got the other too. :sSig_thankyou:

Beyond Survival: Building on the Hard Times – a POW’s Inspiring Story.

And much more! Crochet, time management, a prayer journal that's a PDF instead of a "book" for Kindle, etc...
