Midnightmom
Kitchen mandolins are dangerous! That is all. Just try to keep your "pinky" out of the way. ) Edited July 15, 2017 by Midnightmom Quote Link to comment
The WE2's
Use a long tong fork to hold your produce... Quote Link to comment
Jeepers
Ugh. I haven't done that yet but I have given myself an impromptu manicure with a rotary fabric cutter. A couple of times. Quote Link to comment
kappydell
Aggravating when you get older and sharp objects again become safety issues.....I tell myself I'm getting younger (not regressing). I love my mandolin, but can no longer go without a holder for the item I am slicing. With my arthritis in my hands I cant move quick enough to avoid blood-letting. Embarrassing. Quote Link to comment

Midnightmom
But..............................it was a CUCUMBER! I thought I had it by the long end, but I must have been doing the "pinky-thing" cause the tip of my finger/part of my nail tried to be a part of the salad too!!! Quote Link to comment
Jeepers
So true Midnight mom. Sometimes I am so careful with the working fingers that I forget about the dangling ones. That's how my other fingers get nicked with the rotary cutter. Then I think, "But I was being so careful." Quote Link to comment
