Apple Cider Vinegar

When you use your Apple Cider Vinegar do you shake up the bottle?

 

I put a splash of vinegar on my greens and cabbage after they are cooked and I want to start using the ACV instead of the regular vinegar. Do you shake (the bottle) or just let come out what ever floats out? Do you store it in the fridge after opening? Is it really better for you than regular brown vinegar?

 

This is ridiculous. I've had a bottle for well over a year and I still don't know how to use it properly.

 

I will do a Google search but thought I get advice here from people who actually use it first.
