Whew....will they even survive with any stores?

Sears 320 W Kimberly Road Davenport IA

I know where this one is......I still have/use a shaver that I bought at a different Sears and Roebuck location in Davenport....back in 1972.

MtRider .....Iffen they still made things like that....mebbe they'd still do good business.

This is the second Sears closing in my area. I don't even know where another one is. The newest one closing is in a big mall with a lot of foot traffic.

It will be sad to see Kenmore appliances go. Those things were durable back in the day. And Sears had their own service people come to your house. I had a Kenmore sewing machine for well over 30 years. I let it go because I needed a smaller lighter weight one. Maybe someone is still using it?

Our Sears store (in the mall) closed about 2 yrs ago, but we still had a K-Mart; until this year that is. It has been in "close-out" mode for the last 6 months or so-not sure what the final day is, but I am pretty sure it will be rather soon.

What I don't understand is how a long-standing company like Sears & K-Mart can be going out-of-business while we are getting new stores like Kohls.
