My Public Service Announcement to You **Recall on BP meds

If you take Losartan you may want to check with your pharmacy and your doctor. I am Losartan BP meds and found out this weekend that there was a major recall. I have been playing phone tag all week with the nurse at the doctor's office trying to get an RX since I can not get my Losartan refilled.

Neither of us take this.  But...about a month ago I saw where there was a re-call on Levothyroxine...on facebook!  They said NOT to stop taking the current one though.  My issue...was my pharmacy never notified me in any way!  I DID notice that this last script "looked different" but knowing they shop around (WM) for the best prices, I didn't give it a thought.  Whatcha gonna do?

Just wanted to share...I got a copy of our Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution.  I have begun to pray over it...specifically.  Tonight I prayed over the 2nd paragraph of the DOI...where it says that if a government ceases to represent it's people etc., that they have a right (perhaps obligation) to dissolve it.  Very interesting way for me to pray for our country.

Whenever you see something like this on FB ALWAYS click on the link that was shared and chase it down until you find the SOURCE. The recall of Levothyroxine and Liothyronine was in 2018 and was due to inconsistent dosing of the active ingredients in the meds. It is NOT a CURRENT re-call.

I take the Amlodipine but not the Amlodipine Valsartan combination.

 

Crimony, I have to take 3 BP pills plus a statin and I still fluctuate all over the place. My DR. said it wasn't unusual to take that many a day. Quite common. I don't really think so though.

 

I suppose the next recall will be Metformin.

I always have a 3 month supply so my last refill was in 2018.  I too always check sources.

True. Mine are filled 3 months ahead of time too plus I always have at least a month or two in 'reserve'.
