  1. Jeepers, are you okay? Strong storms are rolling through.
  2. Jeepers, try removing that with olive oil, but you might want to wait until the monitor is off in case it messes with the adhesive altogether. Baby oil or vegetable oil would probably work, too. I used olive oil though, as that is the oil I am not allergic to. It is very windy here. Lots of rain and some flooding (not my house, but nearby). Everyone is thankful it is not raining today. The wind has me concerned as the ground is so saturated...not great for trees staying upright. Miki, congratulations on the new pup. LittleSister, I hope you are feeling better. That is great that your family helped! Becca, does magnesium help with your tachycardia? I saw good results using it. MtRider, I hope you are able to find a good solution for your pup during your vacation.
  3. You're thinking of Amishway Homesteader. I hope you had a Happy Birthday, Wormie!
  4. MtRider, Is it Indy's taxes on gas? PA has very high state taxes on gas.
  5. LittleSister, I hope you are feeing better soon! We also entertained a baby with books. We liked the board books by Sandra Boynton when DD was a baby. Those were the only board books I could find that were made in the USA. It is funny that years later we still have some of them memorized. MtRider, I hope you didn't end up with much more snow. Take care of yourself that you don't overdo things too much. You can always send some snow this way! We were only able to get DD's sled out once in the past 2 winters. Happy Anniversary, Euphrasyne and Mr. Euphrasyne! Jeepers, I appreciate your updates on stores and shopping! DH doesn't seem to notice things unless it is something I specifically put on the shopping list. TMC, my problem is that after I organize, I can't find anything. Ann, your painting is amazing!
  6. Miki, I'm sorry about Oreo. Jeepers, for good healthcare practitioners and good results for you and your DS.
  7. Euphrasyne, I'm sorry for your loss.
  8. Momo, . Hang in there. I don't get much accomplished, either. Many days it is barely anything. LS, for your little GGD. Here's something neat...when baby is ill, the mother's breastmilk changes to help baby fight off the illness. So the mother actually makes antibodies in her breastmilk to fight something the mother's body isn't fighting off! It amazes me how God designed these things to work. We put hair from DD's last haircut in the yard under the bird feeders. Interesting to watch some of the birds gather it for nesting material. It was in the 70s today. We have a few daffodils poking up in the yard. This was the 2nd winter in a row with barely any snow. I don't mind winter...no pollen, no slitheries.
  9. Momo, I hope you have a better day tomorrow.
  10. LittleSister, my DD wouldn't take a bottle, either. I asked my doula about it and she said some breastfed babies just refuse bottles, they want the milk straight from mama. I didn't blame DD one bit! The few times I tried pumping milk, I hated it and cried, too...I wanted to cuddle my baby, not have plastic hooked up to me. People told me that everyone pumped and my baby HAD to learn to drink from a bottle. They were wrong; we did fine without. We were never separated, though.
