  1. I think you should go back and see the "Two Brains" Thread in the humor forum. It basically states that women couldnt keep with one topic if their lives depended on it. Our brains are a bunch of wires where all topics are connected to other topics smile

  2. You warm your stove to 200 degrees and shut it off. Put your pan of dough in there to rise with a damp cloth.

    You still have to check it to make sure its not getting to hot or to cold.

    On mine I set my bread on top of the stove and open the oven door a bit. I also heat the cloth in the microwave.

     

    (I live in Idaho and keep my thermostat set to 65 I kinda know about the cool house thing)

  4. I have an all wheat recipe. However. I grind the wheat by hand and it takes 10 cups of wheat flour. I just dont like using all the wheat at once right now LOL. I am having alot of pain in my wrists and elbows because of all of the storms we have been having. And my oldest kid is 11 so its hard to get much wheat ground at once. There is a reason for my madness LOL!

  5. That is a country living grain grinder. I wouldnt get any other kind. It can even be fitted with a belt/motor attatchment. It comes with an extra bar to help make grinding easier also.

     

    Yes the bread can be cut into sandwich slices.I make sure it is cool before cutting for sandwiches. We dont buy store bought bread. But we get alot of lunchmeat. So we make lots of sandwiches.

  6. Re-knead each half and form into loaves. (pic1)

     

    Butter 2 bread pans (pic2) and place loaves into pans. I slice my loaves diagonal . (just to give a place for the butter to melt later LOL) (pic3)

     

    Set aside for the second rise and re-cover with heated dampened cheese cloth. (pic4) Second rise 45 minutes or until they have doubled in size.

     

     

    Side Note – I set my bread dough on the side of the fire place or on the top of the stove in cold weather. Here I have it on the stove so if its not rising like it should I can crack the door to the oven open and turn it on for a few minutes allowing the heat to help the bread rise.
