  2. Well I finally did it! I've got !!!!!!
  3. We store all flamables in a metal building.
  4. BANANA JAM From COOKS.COM 4 lbs. peeled bananas (6 med.) 1 1/4 c. water 4 lemons 7 c. sugar Slice the bananas and place in a cooking pan with water. Cut the lemons in half, squeeze out the juice and add it to pan. Slice the lemon rind and pith, tie it loosely in a muslin bag and add it to the pan. Add the sugar, bring to a boil, stirring. Then simmer 1 to 2 minutes. Cover the pan with a clean tea towel and let set overnight. Next day, bring to a boil again and boil the jam rapidly until setting point is reached. Remove the muslin bar. Pour the hot jam into hot clean jars and seal.
  5. I've seen that one before, but I can't remember the name of that one, could you clue me in? My hand one is from Lehmans. It's called Lehmans Best or something like that.

  7. I am now the proud owner of a wheat grinder!
  8. I ground up some wheat then I made some whole wheat bread. Now, this morning I am having toast with homemade blueberry jam. Heavenly! I love my grain grinder.
  9. On the way to town we pass a plumbing company he works out of his house and he doesn't have any space for a garden. He has a small parking lot which should be his yard and now grows a garden there. He grows everything in 5 gallon buckets. Tomatoes, sunflowers and something, else could be squash, zuchini or cucumbers, it's too early to tell. This is just what I could see from driving by but it looks like a good idea. Buckets are reuseable and easy to stack when not in use.

  11. I have a couple of questions.... What are you going to do with the feathers, all the bones, heads ?
  12. Last week we had red beans and rice. We'd been eating at Popeye's and I was trying to clone theirs. I came pretty close, but theirs is fantastic. I still have beans sitting in my fridge. I was going to do something else with them like maybe a side dish. The thought of looking at beans just left me feeling....ugh...I can't do it! I've got alot of beans and what if there's an emergency, and I've got lots of beans that don't want to be eaten. I'm about as bad as my children. That's why I'm looking in grinding up beans. I don't see the beans but yet I'm still getting protein from them. I'm glad you brought this up, I'm always looking for more bean and rice recipes.
