  1. Olive & coconut oil If I need to deep fry something I'll use vegetable oil.
  2. Keep looking you'll find the right one for you.
  3. Crossing my fingers!
  4. I found a recipe...I'll have to find it...for cooking rice in a pressure cooker. Instead of 20 to 30 minutes this takes just a few. Beans, yes beans.
  5. I have an electric one and I love it! You don't have to babysit it or anything. Whatever you put in your crock pot you can put in your pressure cooker. I've been making a lot of stew and chili in mine. Let us know if you get one!
  6. Woke the family up! We have two parakeets and they were acting really strange first. When they stopped everything in the house started to vibrate for about 30 seconds. My legs have felt weak and shaking since then.

  8. I'd like to see a recipe for those ready mixes for the crock pot. What do they use for the gravy/seasoning?
  9. I stopped buying frozen French fries. I made potato wedges with homemade seasoned salt and the kids loved them! Homemade Seasoned Salt * 2 tablespoons pepper * 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon powder * 1 teaspoon onion salt * 1 teaspoon onion powder * 1 tablespoon garlic salt * 1 teaspoon cumin powder * 1 teaspoon dry marjoram leaves * 1 tablespoon minced parsley * 1 teaspoon paprika * 1/2 teaspoon curry powder * 1 tablespoon chili powder * 1/3 cup salt Mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Store at room temperature.
  10. I live near Lexington. It's true what Cat said. When we get a lot of snow it's hard to get it removed. We are just not a snow state. Every year we get at least two ice storms. In the summer it's hot and humid. Last year it was dry but humid! Large gardens suffered! Louisville has lots of shopping and it's our major airport hub. Kentucky is a very pretty state. Whether you live in the city or the country you'll see the beauty of our state. We are also known as the horse capital the the world ! I'm not a horse rider but I love horses! You'll love Kentucky!
  11. Here are the instructions for that.
