    Yes Mt_Rider, it is ALL Darlene's fault! I never canned until a heavy box containing my All-American arrived on my doorstep! (poor little UPS gal! ) Now when my (unnamed!) canner is not on the stove, it is on my fridge, in plain sight, always looking at me....waiting.....for more stew....more chili....more work!

    Screaming at people not to throw old phonebooks away...then marking them emergency tp as a note to self when you clean under the bed, and wonder what you were planning to do with them...

    My all-american has a dial gauge and I love it, except for the part where I cannot find any extension office thingy place to have it tested! What would happen if I used it this year anyway without testing it?

    My uncle once told me we are related to Gypsy Rose Lee and Annabel Lee, but I don't know how far he's gotten to really find the connection. I know, I'm no help, but I just had to talk, lol.

    I have salsa in my pressure canner as I write this. (yes, I am past the deadline, what are you going to do? Fire me? )

    My dad screwed a big door sized bookcase right onto a door in his cabin in the woods. Did a pretty good job too, if you didn't know what was behind it...well, you wouldn't know what was behind it.

    I'm stealing the pics to put on my computer so I can show DH when he gets home (he'll never stand here long enough to let them load) (is it stealing if I tell first? lol)
