  1. My pain level is always a 2 or 3 out of ten, but I've learned to deal with it. Yesterday was a 5. Today because I'm doing more sitting it's a 6. I really don't like taking drugs, but I just took a percocet (sp). Odd thing was the day of the MRI I felt normal.

  2. The MRI went okay, man those things get warm! It wasn't fun laying there for 30 minutes, but hey, I tough...right? I should know the results Friday they said. I did get to see some of the pics they took. My spine has a left to right curve in it instead of being straight, wierd looking.

  3. (((((John))))))) I do hope and pray that you find relief soon. I admire your positive attitude....you will be out in your garden and soon!

I try to keep positive Ginger, it is hard sometimes tho. I have a saying, "I don't look back because that is the past, I look forward because that is where my future is." Thanks for the prayers, I do appreciate them.

  4. Wormie, what about traction & eventually the back exercises to reduce the disc herniation? Also there WAS a treatment using papaya extract to dissolve the offending portion of the disc that was in use back in the 80's when my Mom blew a disc in her back. She was successfully treated by traction/exercises though. Have you seen a GOOD physical therapist for your back yet? Some of them can work wonders!

I've had traction before at home and in the hospital, didn't help. To be honest about PT, I know it is has to be done on a regular basis, and I have been through that, but again only short term relief. The last MRI I had showed the disc are deteriorting slowly going up my back. When I tore my calf muscle last year I asked the therapist to show me some exercises for my back and none of them were different than the ones I had done before. :(
