I have been taking Samson to the vet for about 2 months now with an ear infection. Today the vet said the infection is barely there and I have more ear drops to give him. He suggested that we consider changing his diet to a vet prescribed diet or a hypo-allergenic diet. He stated that he needs to be on this for 4-8 weeks to see if there are any changes. I just looked up hypo-allergenic diets and the cost is through the roof. With what he eats now it would cost me between $190.00 and $240.00 a month. He can not have anything that we have been feeding him. I just bought a bag of kibble Tuesday and paid $53.00 for it. I'm willing to pay what it takes to get this corrected so he doesn't suffer any more. Does anyone here have any suggestions as to a brand or anything that I can look at? I have to decide by Jan. 4th and let the vet know in case he has to write a prescription for me. John

My back is about 98% better, left knee maybe 90% unless I move it the wrong way, & the shoulder hurts when it wants to. Samson seems a bit better but his food intake has increased about 200% due to the meds. I see a diet in his near future. God willing we will both come out of this better. John

You order and pay on-line in advance and the site shows where the nearest drop point is to you. You meet the truck and they load the product in your vehicle for you. Pay attention to the case size as like in chicken breast you are getting 40 pounds at a time. They do run promotions at times on their facebook page. Right now they have 10% off of any order over $149.00. You will need to have enough freezer space to store your purchase. All of the items are by the case. If you can't use or store an entire case of something you can split it with family and friends. It might be a way to save some money on food & build up your storage. My four legged son Samson has an ear infection so i have been taking him to the vet for checkups & giving him meds at home. I went out Wednesday a week ago to give him his pills & there were some wet leaves on the steps. My left foot slipped and I crashed into the house with my left shoulder, twisting my left knee & my back at the same time. As I lay there trying to get use to the pain I was glad Samson did not come over to me as there was no way i could have kept 160 pound dog off of me. I finally got up and gave him his pills and got back in the house. my shoulder swelled and so did my knee. My back went into spasms so I was on the couch for 3 days. My back is almost back to normal and the knee is much better. I have a scab on my shoulder still but it does not hurt like it did. I took Samson back to the vet this morning for a checkup & he is a lot better but still has a way to go. We had very high winds last night & a section of my fence blew down. It did this once before & I thought I had it secure. I'm going to pick up 80 bolts & bolt each panel to the post top & bottom. This will have to wait until the wind dies down and I get some sleep since I didn't get any last night. On another note I have a bushel of oranges coming that I am going to can. I have never done oranges before so i will post how they turn out. John

The traps only pull their legs off! They are pulling their bodies through the snow using their arms. The Hobbits quickly catch up the them and have a nice snack. When they finish they take Mt. Rider carefully down the mountain to their village and make sure she is warm and comfortable. She lays down and takes a nap and when she wakes up she sees... John

No way. I value my body more than to get in a crowd of people who would push me down and walk on me to get the latest/greatest thing out there. Nope, not gonna do it. John

RoseMarie, try sealing a jar using 2 lids. sometimes this works for me on a stubborn jar. Both lids will not seal to the jar as the top one you can take off. John

Do you have a trail camera or one you could borrow for a few weeks? If so set it up so you can monitor any activity & then plan your attack. If you find a time frame that is consistent you could sit & wait with a .22 & pick them off. How about a 5 gallon bucket of water about half full of water with some food floating in the center of a small piece of wood that is anchored with a rock so it won't float around, use a scrap piece of wood for a ramp that the critter can climb up on. If the critter gets over balanced & falls in he will drown, just a thought. John

So this young girl thinks she is "talking" to someone on another planet using the internet and England is near Jupiter but the closest planet to the sun? If this wan't sad in so many ways it would be funny. How old is she, 12 or 13 maybe? She is not either being taught in school correctly & or her parent(s) are not checking her homework. I may be old & not know what kids talk about with their friends but there is too much in the news (oh that's right they don't listen to the news, only music ) not to hear about things in space. This is what people in their 30's have to look forward to when this girl's generation is running the country (assuming we are still around). Just sad. John
