  1. This brings tears to my eyes. So much love and thoughtfulness in terrible times.
  2. I find the large pickle jars at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Yes, I have bought some.
  3. I didn't know you could even buy that many different spices!!
  4. I bought some of this milk and it is fine. I believe I once saw it there in the "fake" milk that some must drink. Sorry, can't remember the type, but kinda like almond milk. Last week it was still a dollar here, but they had been out for a good while before that.
  5. There are lidocaine patches that need no script, and they help some better than the regular pain patches.
  6. Why would you can tater tots, and how?
  7. We have a Berkley, but it is not large, maybe 5 gal. I haven't even looked at it lately.
  8. We had a very small earthquake one county over yesterday. This happens every so often here in the Ozarks, and further north, covering the New Madrid quake area of many years ago. They do warn there could be another very large one some of these days.
  9. So sorry. Life gets very difficult these days.
  10. Little Sister, you do more canning than anyone I know. Don't over do and be sorry. Hard year for you we know. We have lost several dollar stores here in recent years. Seems like Dollar General is the only one to survive, and its stock of canning products is only the jars with lids enclosed. No lids to be found in our town of 10,000. Our Dollar Tree was out of the small plastic bottles of prune juice for several months, and no other store here carries those. We only get expensive pack of 6 very small cans. From the bottled juice I pour small servings into smaller jars and freeze. Don't want too much prune juice at once> I was in the store one day and they were unpacking a pallet of the small bottles and the stocker and I rejoiced together that they got another load in. One grocery store here has limited number of jars and other canning items, but no lids. Same with Wal Mart.
  11. If you have Dollar General, I see they are well stocked on jars, just no boxes of lids in yet. I read somewhere that DG has well stocked the jars all over. Who has all those lids???

    Carrots

We can't grow carrots here, rocky ozark mtns, but I have often kept them in the frig as described above, and they do keep very well. I look for bags at the grocery store that have not started growing "hair".
  13. Thank you! Blessing to all of you.
  14. Little Sister, you are such a wonderful example of a good and faithful wife. A few years ago I was in my car with radio on. A song came on that basically said, if I get to heaven before you, don't look for me at the pearly gates, don't look for me on the street of gold, don't look for my mansion. You will find me sitting at the feet of Jesus, worshiping Him. I cried and cried right there in the car.
  15. Years ago, we had 2 men we knew who went hunting in the cold. Got in the vehicle to warm up and died from carbon monoxide poisoning, in north Mississippi. Please don't go to sleep in a running vehicle.
  16. Lil Sis, you are the most patient and dedicated wife I know of. You must be so full of energy when you have just a normal day, and may you be blessed for all you do.
  17. 15 oz can, store brand. Duncan Hines cake mix, but just a standard box. I did add a couple of tablespoons of apple sauce I had simmering. I can't believe how good and easy this was.
  18. Pumpkin Muffins 1 cake mix, any flavor 1 can pumpkin 2 eggs (optional) I used some products just to get them used up. This is so simple and mine was delicious. used DH Banana cake mix, Libbys canned pumpkin, and that was it. Beat well and pour in muffin tins, bake per instructions on box.
  19. Ambergris you have no idea how much information I glean from your writing about the virus. Your work on this topic is such a help. You are appreciated.
  20. We are still waiting, but I don't want to do the "check it online". Don't like the idea of entering a SS number.
  21. Jeepers, I don't post often, but try to read most days. Do you ever have any real success with your dizziness problems? It seems to run in my family, and none of us can really get any help treating it. My brother even saw a chirop. that said she could cure him. She could not, and told him to never let anyone do the spinning procedure on him ever again, ever. Docs can tell if you are really dizzy by watching your eyes. I think they dart back and forth when you REALLY get dizzy. I take meclazine almost daily, helps some but not much.
  22. Our State had very low case counts for quite some time, then the count started coming up. Our own small town of 10,000 folks is increasing as well as several small towns around us has it climbing too.
  23. Bio Freeze is very good stuff. Comes in cream or roll on here. Chiopractor first gave it to DH and we have kept some around ever since.
  24. Several years ago, a local Church would take regular folks to Brazil to serve in the bush and help build churches and other building. The MD that headed it up told all people going to get the animal antibiotics from local farm stores for their own use and to leave with the folks in the villages they served. They had makeshift medical clinics as well as putting up buildings.
  25. Littlesister, I am feeling the same things you mentioned, plus a few more.
