reading this... we got a new pyr pup yesterday... 8wks old.

yikes on the composter... but I must come clean. I bought SS compost pails from Lee Valley... BUT they were the nicest cheapest lidded seamless ss pails I could find for MILKING! Milk pails are outrageous... and the handles are helpful when you are milking 20 goats!

I use alfalfa pellets. No good hay down here... and they tend to waste it. Full size LM get free choice.. min 3lbs a day each... up to 4-5... BUT my Mini Manchas are such *easy keepers* I need to move them to their own yard and cut them back!!!

my goats browse part of the yr but always with lots of options and alfalfa still available and the milk tastes great whether browsing or not... and customers have raved on how good mine is vs others... so it might depend on what you have available for browse and if they have other feed avail. I grain with just whole oats and a bit of boss or corn (trying to get away from corn)... my goats only get molasses post kidding....

:lol I have always just cooked from scratch... and last few yrs I started making my own chili powder & such....

Those packaged sauce/seasoning mixes mixes! Come on people really what is in them besides salt & thickener and some color??!! Pre-chopped veggies/onions etc...

Wanting to try to get 2 separate qts going... was reading you can get it half down then refill...

I just got my first 1/4lb of vanilla beans. I can look up sites online, but I'd love to hear from someone who has made it... what they did.
