  14. Quote: My question about the gallon jars was the lids on most of them are to rusted to use. Any suggestions on getting replacment lids. I will place wax paper between the lid and jar on the ones that only have a little rust. There are probably 10 gallon jars that I would like to use to store rice, beans, and flour in. Going to keep an eye out at garage sales for any gallon lids. I live an hour away from an Amish bulk goods store.. They sell lids in every size.. That's where I get mine for my glass gallon jars..

I also want to add that what you do for this site and it's members is a blessing to me.. I would have a hard time making it through my day with out you and the rest of the folks here.. I have learned more here with ya'll in the couple of years that I have been here than anywhere else in my life except from my mother! If there's ever a time where I am no longer here I want you all to know that each one of you has touched the very bottom of my heart, and I don't say that lightly..
  21. Ok don't shoot me.. But right now is an excellent time to get used homeschool curriculum off of ebay! If any of you are interested in homeschooling or think it might be a good idea to have a few things set aside for if TSHTF.. That's a good place to start!
