About mammagrande

  1. A friend who was moving gave us all the stuff in their freezer including a new unopened bag of chicken patties. So DS, 4 years old wants pizza. I don't have a pizza. I took a chicken pattie, microwaved it, threw it under the broiler, topped it with mozzarela cheese and pepperonies. Then cut it with the pizza cutter. Perfect for a 4 year old. Better, next time I let him "top" it. He put on cheese, left over sausage and pepperonies. Fun, fast and I feel better that he is eating that than a frozen pizza and without the waste.
  2. Well I hail from Ooltewah/Apison area. So Cleveland used to be familar to me. I bet it has changed a lot!
  3. Have you ever tried canning them? I was in a canning fit yesterday, chow chow and stuff. Your stuf sounds yummy and I think I'd like to try canning it!
  4. I wanna come to the party......draggin an old Star Wars sleeping bag.
  5. Actually was born in Chatt. Then the hospital burned down. My Mom and Dad had as a cradle a dresser drawer.
  6. well actually my big little dog is being bred first and last time. Cali is small Golden Retiever (the runt) to a Husky boy. And I am involved today!!
  7. I finally decided to stop lurking and say Hi! I really didn't want to add another post, it seems like us newbies are filling up the place. But....I did it anyways! Thanks ahead of time for having me!
  8. Here in Tn we have Mayfields Ice Cream. Gosh I missed it while in CA. Only at the holidays that put out candy cane ice cream. It has broken up pieces of candy canes in yummy vanilla ice cream. My brother and I will disappear with bowls during holiday visits to our parents. Hiding from our kids in our own minute of indulgence. I LOVE the holidays!!
  9. So sad.....I grew up in Chatt so I knew of him too.....I've returned to Tn in the last couple years and it seems odd to hear of people you knew leaving us. You had a wonderful memory of him and that is what makes all life richer, but dimmer for a while.
  10. I would like to say I love the eraser. It took black Sharpie off walls, wood desk and the computer keyboard (4 year olds..sigh). It removed grease off my vent on the stove. But best for last.....the ugly grease yuckies on the grill. I just took the hose and cleaned the metal grill surface in the yard. Very easy.
