  1. Will walk in a few minutes.
Going to bank for help with setting up online account. I entered something wrong.
Calling audiologist for DH for earlier appt. if possible. My throat hurts from yelling even when standing in front of him.
Calling for copy of last week's lab work for me. I always keep a copy.
    Local grocery for DH
Will pitch and/ or freeze unhealthy foods today. DH may want some of them for later. I don't need them.

I'm happy to hear of some good Christmas times, also!  Try to get some rest, you all!

We had a quiet day.  Our snow was predicted and it came down very politely at a Christmasy pace.  Kinda floating down.  Got a few more inches tho.  Supposed to move on ...east, I guess.  Tomorrow will be sunny but not very warm.  We've no where to go and nuthin' to do when we get there.

I've gotten some pics and updates on Mom.  Bro took her to the cathedral for their service.  I know she loved it.  Last time this set of organ pipes will be played in a very long time.  They're due for refurbishing and that takes a while for specialists.  Amazing how many parts make up the huge organs!

We're snug and warm with pellet stove going.  DH's sweet potatoe pie is smelling almost done.  :yum3:  Tomorrow we'll have ham and things.

Sounds like Christmas festivities are in motion for a lot of you already.

MtRider  ....  for good times and safety for all of us as we remember Who was born (approximately) in this season.  :amen:

    Amen, Mt rider!

    Merry Christmas, you all!
    Will walk first.
    Walk dogs.
    Already have laundry going.
Need to finish up some paperwork and visit a friend.
    Quiet day!

  3. I'll have Church for about 1 hour this morning- just some singing Christmas carols.
Walk dogs if it stops raining.
Maybe do the ebay photos I forgot, yesterday.
That's it! Dinner, such as it is, will be eaten later today. Just ham sandwiches, store bought potato salad and coleslaw, frozen (and thawed) key lime pie. So glad that I baked the ham, yesterday. And packaged and put away!

You all have a nice and relaxing day!

  4. This morning, after walking, I will put the ham in the oven.
Go pick up trash from parking lot of Church.
    Do ebay photos for DH.
Slice ham and put most of it away.
Set up an online banking account.
    Maybe walk dogs, maybe not.

That crying bit is getting old.

I totally agree with Littlesister and Mother.  Stress being released and Big changes both do that to me.  Hang in there!

  5. I took the Christmas tree down yesterday morning. Easy job as no decorations on it. I just couldn't take the cat messing with it for one more day. I feel so much better and so much less stress without DH yelling at the cat every other minute! I did put 4 flameless candles in the window so there is something there.
Also made brownies while DH was at his doc appt. He was gone most of the day.  His appt. was for rheumatoid arthritis and went fine.

I've been here so long it's sort of like home. Familiar I guess you could say.

I meant for this to go after.  LOL  I'm so glad that you will have packing and such to concentrate on once you are home.  Should make the time go faster!

Today I have a doc appt. here in my little town.
    Walk.
    Walk dogs.
    Haircut this afternoon.
    Easiest day in awhile!

  6. Took DH to orthopedic appt. yesterday-all is well.
    Bunch of chores at home.

Today, I will walk in a few minutes.
DH has a transport service coming at 10 to take him for 3 appts. about 100 miles away. He will be gone most of the day.
I have many chores at home for the day.
I'm just tired as are many of you!

  7. Littlesister, you always seem to have your hands full!  I truly hope you can get your GS somewhere else soon.

Necie, I know you have a lot to deal with, also.  You are doing great with all the canning and freezing.  It sounds like you could actually use a freeze dryer.  For me, the cost is prohibitive.

Jeepers, I am glad you are back safely and hope your walk through and inspections go well.  Sorry it was a short trip!

I've been offline since early Friday morning. Walked every day. Company was wonderful and relaxing.

    Back to real life today.
    Will walk in a bit.
    Laundry.
Phone calls to make about doctors.
Set up DH's pills for the month.
    Fill out some legal paperwork.

Have a safe trip @Jeepers!  See you soon.

I hope you find some sales @Littlesister!

We have company coming this afternoon (for the weekend)!
    Will walk first.
    Get guest room ready.
    Sweep house.
    Walk dogs.
    Make a meatloaf.
    And wait!
Looking forward to this visit and taking a break!

I will also pray for Mt Rider and Annarchy.  You are both gong through a lot!

    Laundry next.
    Walk dogs.
No other big chores, just a lot of little misc. stuff.

  13. Ended up with 34 loaf size banana breads, 1 bundt and 24 mini loaves. Some will be delivered today and some are in the freezer for later. That is such a big job since it includes packaging and putting them away. I was tired last night!

This morning, I will walk first.
    Go deliver banana breads.
Pick up in Church parking lot and mulch around flowers by entrance.
    Hopefully rest!

I'm glad you are having a little down time @Becca_Anne.  Best to take care of yourself to help others.

  14. Too busy to get on laptop yesterday. Still walked, of course. Had to be at health insurance agent's ofc. at 8:30 am. Tuesday she was sure that the new insurance was ok. Tuesday night she called her boss again and was told that the new insurance did not have a hospital anywhere in my area. So, I had to go back and switch back to previous plan after all. Had a few things to do in our little town, also. Calls to make, also etc.

    Today, I will walk first.
Plant some snapdragons that I was given on Peanut's grave.
Make and package banana breads for the rest of the day.
It will be a long day, but that is what I give for Christmas gifts each year.

I hope all your fixes go smoothly @Jeepers!

I'm glad that you are getting somewhere @Littlesister!

    Still working on the salami/sausage.

I hope you get finished up today.  The multi day projects aren't a lot of fun, for sure.

  15. @Littlesister, I made some out of plastic tablecloths for when I was washing bottles at the dairy.  Those worked really well.

    Will walk first- early.
See if local grocery saved me any over ripe bananas- I need about 50 for banana bread on Thursday.
Pick up friend and go to appt. with health insurance agent to switch insurance back to humana.
Stop at thrift shop to donate and then look for fake Christmas flowers for porch hanging baskets.
Hit Walmart and Aldi for bananas and a few other needed items for National Banana Bread Day.
    Come home and walk dogs.
Maybe get out some inside decorations- not many-, maybe not.

  16. Already found the recipe for what I will take to fellowship next Sunday-Funeral Potatoes.
Will walk in a few minutes.
Have to see my health insurance lady. I was told that our local hospital is in network, but insurance company says no. Need to change back to original company.
    Already have laundry going.
Might decorate porch today, we will see.
May run to town if insurance lady is available. I need about 50 bananas for the mass quantities of Christmas banana bread I will make Thursday.

Oh, Miki, don't rush through the mourning.  I still tear up over my little Kismet, after all these years, and I only had him a few months.  Some become part of you.

Edit:  not suggesting you would rush...just don't let anyone tell you to brush it off

I definitely won't rush, just continue on.  Not getting another dog anytime soon.  Oreo will have to be put down in the Spring as we can't get him in the car to go to the vet and he still bites DH.  That will leave Aninja, a Chihuahua.  At that time we will start looking.  Oh yeah, and Charlie the cat nick- named  El Destructo!

  18. Sad news this morning. Little Peanut Butter passed away at 4:30 this morning. She was one happy and loved little dog! I've had dogs all my life and she has been my favorite since I first saw her! I will have a friend come over a bit later and dig a hole for her. She will be missed so much!

I will go find my friend, first and stop at a yard sale at the local Catholic Church.
A little later I will walk, weather permitting. We have gotten 2" of rain since last night.
I still haven't written to my friend in the Military.
Might decorate a little today, but not feeling it right now.

  19. My little Peanut Butter (profile photo) took a turn for the worse, yesterday. She has had congestive heart failure, but shown very little signs of it for the past several months. Now her breathing is very labored even at rest. DH wants to wait until Monday to make a decision. I've started giving her a little bit of dandelion root powder and fish oil. She is till getting her mullein and milk thistle for her liver issues which have disappeared. I also opened a can of salmon and rinsed it well to tempt her to eat this morning. It may be too little too late. Not sure what else to do. I know she isn't mine to keep forever and God has left her with me an extra 5 months after the liver diagnosis. I'm thankful for that!

    I did walk this morning.
Took my friend to local stores.
    Paid bills.
Called an made appt. with home insurance company to come take photos and up the coverage for home.
Still need to write a letter to friend in military.
