Mom, we use the turkey frier outside when it gets so hot and we dont want to heat up the house...it takes just a little practice to learn where to set the gas flow at, but then its just like doing it on the stove. One thing though...if your fire gets too hot, it will soot up your canner on the outside. Q

Rent for us is a non-issue, since we are friends of the owner...he will and has let us slide on occasion...as far as land goes, he owns this lock, stock and barrel. Between all of us, we have enough put back to take care of the property taxes for a couple of years... Utilities here are only phone and electric...both of which we can do without if need be. Q -
