  1. KatMom! Have a wonderful day!! Gunplumber! Have a wonderful day!!!
  2. FIL dropped our dental insurance and didn't bother to say anything to anyone. It's $161.00 per kid for a cleaning. I started my home business a year earlier than I planned and am looking at going back to teach for the Red Cross so I can afford the denist.
  3. I have a 12# turkey that I'd like to get out of the freezer and I am really wanting some turkey soup canned. How do I physically do it? It's a whole turkey, do I cut it like a fryer and go that way? Help, please
  4. snowmom! Have a wonderful day!!! shepherdlady! Have a wonderful day!!!!
  5. You need the vodka to make vanilla extract, too. Always a good thing to have on had. Works well with tonic water on the rare occasion.
  6. I dusted the hallway area on the second floor and DS2's bedroom, changed linens on 2 bed (2 more to go), 2 loads of laundry and a load of dishes. Dough for BBQ Chicken Pizza is rising and chicken is thawing. Measured DS2's room for DD's full sized bed (I think I'm going to try and make a short loft for her bed so she has storage in there as the room is so small and then checked to see if the crib will fit on the where I want it to go in DD & DS1's current room. We are going to put them all three in a room for a year so they can have a playroom. Started a swatch to make sure my gauge is correct to make a pair of leggings for DD. Kids go back to school and taekwondo on Monday so trying to do the last minute things that we need to. It's dark and gloomy here but they are forecasting snow. I'm praying for it as we haven't received any measurable amount.
  7. 15 minutes of core exercises and knee strengthening exercise.
  8. We have sage (we've pulled it but it keeps coming back), I did parsley this year in between the asparagus and basil but I pulled it because my tomatoes weren't turning. Once, I pulled the basil, I had tomatoes ready to pick. Wierd because I followed the companion guides and things I thought would produce didn't. Maybe, I'll try again this year.
  9. I'll give it a try. It might be interested with the three monkeys but if I can get them bundled they might be willing to walk around the neighborhood once (not a big neighborhood but a 6 yo, 4 1/2 yo, and 18 month old).
  10. I can't help you with one versus the other but I can tell you that DS1 was given tamiflu (last year, I think) and it was awful. I really am not sure if it helped him either. Praying for you to get better and the kids not to catch it. My sister went in on Monday and found out she has the flu and lung infection and a kidney infection from the flu.
  11. I guess in taking my break, I have forgotten to post some of the recent completed projects. Hopefully, I can post a few now. The first is a shawl for DH's grandma, who will be 92 this month. The second is the sweater I made for DD (via a class, I would have never tried without the class) and I made a second one for my niece for a Christmas gift, same color. The third is the jumper that I made for DD, the pattern was the worst pattern I've ever seen! The forth is a shawl for my mom. The goal for next year is several more handmade gifts but with the knowledge that I have to start during.
  12. Happy Birthday! Have a wonderful day!!!
  13. Welcome home! :bouquet:/>
