  1. Thanks!!!!!!! I told DH as soon as he walked in the house tonight. Lol!
  2. I was shocked at how bad northern Indiana was east of us as we drove out to Maryland. Ohio was bad, too. We had rain a few days when we were out there. My aunt said they'd had a lot of rain.
  3. 11 pts of Italian Seasoned Tomatoes. One didn't seal so just shy of a full flat.
  4. Ambergris! Skagitgal! Here's to a wonderful day to both of you!!! :bouquet:
  5. I'm going to try and get a few blankets and scarves knit. Will need to see how much time I can manage. I pulled almost half of DS1's scarf apart last night because there were a few mistakes that were driving me nuts so I'm almost back to where I was. Hoping to get it finished before the end of next week.
  6. 24 pints of salsa. I pulled the first batch out as I was running out of the last jar. I have more tomatoes to use so I might try a different salsa recipe or make Italian seasoned tomatoes since we are out and I use them for soup.
  7. I read somewhere to keep plan pringles, the original ones, on hand and they help. Chicken soup and ginger ale (Vernor's) growing up, the chiropractor swore by it. I wonder if that's what DS1 had but a mild case when we were in Maryland.
  8. Buttercup!! have a wonderful day!!!!

  11. SueC!!! Have a wonderful day!!!!
  12. Do tell! They are on sale this week here too! I didn't want to fill the freezer with them. They are on sale here, too. I figured I'd run out and pick up several pounds to can in a few weeks.
  13. I broke down and bought a case of microwave popcorn today for DS1 for vacation and when he needs a quick snack and I can't make actual popcorn. I also bought a 12.5 lbs container of popcorn kernels (that lasts a few months here. lol) The ready cut melon creeps me out, I just think it looks slimy. But there is nothing like cutting melon and having the kids "sneak" it faster than you can cut it. Never thought about the shredded cheeses, I buy it in bulk and separate it into bags and throw in the freezer. Scratch that, I buy blocks of mozzarella and shred for pizza.
  14. Are you going to share your discovery? I had never even thought about it, I just do it all by hand.
  15. Glad you are getting the much needed rain. I heard last night most of the state needs a good foot of rain. We had a quick shower this morning, too. I saw the national map last night on the weather channel and was amazed we weren't part of the drought. We are definitely dry but I know not as bad as others because the corn in the non-irrigated fields have corn, it's small but it's there.
  16. No rain this morning but we had the dark skies, lightening and thunder. Glad you are getting some of it. Dee~ Those pictures are amazing. The creek reminds me of the river by my parents. I've never seen sandbars in it and they are there. My mom grew up on one of the little riverside towns and she said she's never seen that (she's in her late 60's).
  17. bluegrassmom! Have a wonderful day!
  18. Victorianlavender \ SandyinHouston Have a blessed day!!!!
  19. Stephanie - I've seen the youtube video. You have a deep southern accent this is coming from the girl whose friends in Indianapolis would tease for having a heavy Chicago accent (especially the word traffic). Your southern accent is charming and lovely!
  20. I happened to catch this on the Weather Channel last night (I'm a Coast Guard Alaska watcher). I thought this was really amazing so I thought I would share. http://www.weather.com/weather/videos/news-41/top-stories-169/drought-reveals-hidden-city-29746
  21. Oh, go! Don't tell me that!!!!!!!!!!! I'd never get anything else put up. They are eating the blackberries I pick faster than I can do anything with them now.
  22. Good to see you back and checking in. Take care of yourself and we'll see you when you are healed up.
