About Meg

  1. Hi everyone, I am back after an extended hiatus. To be honest, I have had so much going on I forgot about my account here. Thinga have been better and worse at home. Better in the sense that me and my husband get along better now and worse in the sense that like half of america, we may lose our home and have to move back in with his family (and his evil sister). I am letting it all go. Whatever happens, happens. If we lose the house we werent meant to keep it. At least we still have each other....
  2. I've never found anything but wonderful loving supportive people here....glad u have too.
  3. I have sensed a lot of fear about the nation's budding socialism and the state of the world? And I just gotta ask? Have we not been reading our Bibles? I don't mean that in a mean/critical way, but the Bible says these things have to come to pass before Jesus returns. One world government and the rise of the anti-christ has to happen. Don't get scared, rejoice! He protects his own. Get excited! Jesus is coming back soon! I do believe in prepping for hard times and possible evacuation. But don't think of the end times as something to dread. Think of it as a chance to be a light to someone else and help others in trouble. ....just a thought I wanted to share.....
  4. I don't know about where y'all live, but in waco the walmart has portable rope hammocks (the kind you take backpacking) for $10. They are great to put in a BOB kit. The nicer onesmade of polyester waterproof cloth are $18
  5. Hey there! I grew up in NW Houston.
  6. those are some great links! I am going to try threading on my eyebrows, but the sandpaper sounds better for legs and such. I am going to experement with a pumice and see what it does.
  7. made a list of everything we need/would like to have in order to have a good, comfortable homestead.
  8. Eh, it's more a matter of hair being icky and uncomfortable to me. I googled it and found a recepie for a lemon sugar cream that seems to work.
  9. If I had to live without my lady razor I just don't think I could do it.... I have heard of the idea of using (very carefully) a sharppened knife to shave legs and other areas...but I also read in a book that the ancient romans came up with many ideas for dipilitory creams..... any ideas on DIY Hair removal it could be a reality one day...
