  1. Hi everyone Time for you to just tell him you're sorry but this isn't working for you and maybe buy him a bus ticket back to OK!
  2. When I first started doing geneaology I thought I'd never be able to track the Jones line down due to the common name, but it can be done! I was able to find MY Jones relatives My Jones relatives can be traced back to NY. Charles Minor Jones was born abt. 1823 he married Lydia Malissa Perry of NY. Their son James Corcket Jones was my g-g-grandfather. He murdered his wife Isora Overacher. So it was a huge scandal and in the papers and there are criminal records. I have transcripts of the trial and everything. They were married in NE and then all the families moved to ID. It is amazing what you can find once you know where to look! Isora was born in Rome township, Jones Co, IA. I found them all in the 1860 IA Census! These families moved around together apparently as was so common in those days. The brother married one of her sisters, and ended up raising the children. *Just noting that this is MY post that the names got messed up long ago when we had the board crash Becca_Anne)
  3. I am busy also this weekend working on decluttering my LR and DD's bedroom. I keep meaning to do her room but I haven't had a big enough block of time to do it. Poor kid has way too much stuff in there that isn't even hers and I need to put it in the shed so she can enjoy it!
  4. Unikemom! That is fabulous news
  5. :bighug I'm so sorry it has come to this. You must be sure you are safe, and it sounds like you don't have much choice at this point. You need to document her threats against you and make sure her therapist knows what is going on.
  6. I really should get into them. That way I could "read" and clean at the same time Plus I could put them on for the kids too!
  7. She is very talented Cat! Tell her we said WELL DONE

  10. I just love this! Thanks for sharing Bobbie!
  11. While I am sad Fran is no longer with us, I am comforted that her suffering is over. She was a wonderful friend. I will miss her.
  12. How awful! This happened in the neighboring town when we lived in IA, and the little girl was murdered. The man who did it was turned in by his 10 yr old son. Horrifying to think it could happen to anyone. I am glad the windows in our house here have good locks. I WISH we could have a dog. Geese sound like good watch animals too!!
  13. Pansy I am so sorry your DS is not doing well. Especially on his b-day this must be so hard
