  1. Stay dry everyone in Ivan's path! wow what a huge storm!! Best of news from my house today, looks like Lane is going to get his dream job! He had a meeting today to see if HE was still interested and to find out where in the dept he'd most like to work. They should be making a formal offer tomorrow, but pretty much offered him the job today!
  2. A little sore, she says she will have a black eye for awhile, and she took the entire week off work to rest. I think she's going to recover very quickly, she takes really good care of herself and my stepfather is really attentive so that helps. Thanks for the prayers everyone!

  5. My mother is having surgery tomorrow to remove a small skin tumor under her eye. Please pray the surgery goes smoothly and she comes through it o.k.! I didn't realize until today how scared I am for her.
  6. Unikemom- I am sure your relatives will be so happy to have a place to stay they won't even notice how tidy your house is. I hope you can make the time a nice family visit as long as they are coming! My SIL and her family are all evacuating. They live in Naples and even though they are inland a bit they say 2 hurricanes is enough for them they are hitting the road until it's over. I feel so badly for everyone in FL and wherever the storms have caused damage.
  7. OMGosh I better not let my DH see this or he'll buy us out of house and home LOL Very cool!

  9. Sometimes life is just too much for anyone to take
  10. Welcome Bigsky I love Montana, such a pretty state! I've driven through it several times and always wish I could look around longer. How wonderful you were able to keep the family homestead in the family and give your kids that heritage.
  11. Books, or Movie baskets, puzzle baskets, craft items are all nice. I love the bath stocking idea. Gotta love the Dollar store! Also as a mom with a bunch of kids, no clutter edible gifts are great, or movie tickets. If you live near a zoo or aquarium or kids science museum a season pass would make a great gift if you could chip in with other family members. Then they could get a lot of family fun out of the gift and nothing for mom to pick up
