I'm glad that in the end, all is well.
  2. I am so glad you like it! 😊 I have another I think you will love. However, remember he is Messianic. They call Jesus by his shortened Hebrew name of Yeshua. Salvation is Your Name
  3. Hi ladies! This is just a quick note to tell you all that I have thought of you this weekend and prayed for you. I am hoping each of you has a fantastic week, filled with beauty, laughter, peace and love! Also, I'm going to include the link to one of my favorite songs. It's sung by a Messianic singer and I hope you love it like I do. It was originally sung by Casting Crowns, so you might already know it. How Great is our God
  4. Welcome back Edensong. I love the name! You know what I love most about your post? You said it's been rough but you are doing ok. <--- That is faith! It's strength. When you can stand in the face of the storm and say, "Bring it. But I'm still going to be okay," you win. I am sorry for your losses and for your mom's dementia, but wow what a full, long life she's led! What a blessing! I look forward to getting to know you. *hug*
  5. Amen and thank you for your kind reply, Darlene. You are living basically where I want to. Well, no let's be totally honest. I want to be in the mountains in Arkansas. But, you are living close to what I dream of! Maybe we can message from time to time about the goodness of God. My husband would thank you. *giggle* It's all I talk about (pretty much). It'd give him a breather. Anyway, have a blessed Saturday.
  6. I posted a small Shabbat and weekend greeting earlier, but failed to really say why I did. What I mean is, I am so grateful and so thankful to our Father for His faithfulness! It just bubbled out in a hasty Shabbat greeting earlier. So, let me explain. See, I live in a neighborhood just south of Atlanta, Georgia. The neighborhood developers did not think the plans out very thoroughly and left hundreds of baby pines at the time of construction. This was back in the 60's and posed no threat ... until now. Every single storm we have sends massive branches banging down from the 60'ish foot tall trees. More often than not, an entire tree topples over and takes out the power for hours on end. In scarier instances, they land on people's houses. That's happened several times, with the most serious only seven houses down from us. Thankfully no one was killed. It's a serious and dangerous situation and up until a year or so ago, sent me into fidgets. I stressed, worried, and whispered frantic prayers. Then I came across a Scripture at the Ruach HaKodesh's (Holy Spirit) prompting. Isaiah 41:10 CJB "Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness." Well, amen! To top it off, crime has begun to creep in. Year after year, it gets just a little worse. So, the Ruach prompted me last weekend to pray for this neighborhood. Not just the property, cars, fences, but for the people. For their salvation. I obeyed by getting in my car and driving the length and breadth of it. While I was praying for the occupants of the couple of hundred houses, a Scripture came to mind. Ezekiel 22:30-31 CJB "I sought for a man among them who could build a barricade or stand in the break to oppose me on behalf of the land, so that I would not destroy it; but found no one. Therefore I am pouring out my fury on them, consuming them with the fire of my rage, bringing their own ways on their own heads,' says Adonai Elohim." I told the Lord that I would stand. I will pray for them. I will live righteous, because Yeshua (Jesus) has made me righteous through his faithfulness. I told Him to prove me that I would do as I say. A storm came that night and not one limb came down. Not one tree toppled. Hallelujah! But it gets better. Flash forward to today. Now, I celebrate Shabbat and make an unusually large pot of something to last the weekend for us. Most Jews use Friday to do prep work for Shabbat. I've run into trouble with my huge pots in that I ran over time, so to alleviate stress, I do everything overnights on Thursday. By 4 am on Friday, I have 6 storage bowls tucked away for weekend enjoyment. I did the same last night and since it was Friday morning, spent some time with Him before I slept. I closed my eyes at 8 am and was literally jerked awake at just before noon. It was literally as if someone yanked me up to a sitting position! Then a house shattering roar of thunder clapped overhead. I didn't bother to question or doubt. I immediately begin to pray for this neighborhood. I told the Father that He had Abraham walk the length and breadth of the land. Everywhere he walked, God gave the land to his descendants. I used the same principle. I asked Him to give to me what I had driven the length and breadth of and provide protection for us. I asked for angels to hold the trees upright and the limbs from crashing down and destroying property or damaging lives. Then I went back to sleep with the words, "I trust you" on my lips. Praise Adonai! Not a limb came down and not a tree toppled. The attached picture is an airport that is less than half an hour drive away. Great is His faithfulness! Eliana
  7. Yes! You are correct. The Roman Catholic Empire issued a decree because they wanted to separate from the Jews (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Paul etc). They declared that the Church was greater than the Jewish Law (Torah) and changed the day from Saturday to Sunday. This was in early 320's. Most people don't know that. Thank you for your kind words. I think I will make a separate post as to why I'm extra joyful today. But at the time of this post, I just had to post.. something! I hope you enjoy your weekend, Littlesister. Much love!
  8. I am not a Jew. In order to be one, you have to denounce all former religions. This would mean denouncing Yeshua (Jesus) as my Mashiach (Messiah) and that is absolutely something I will never do. But I find a certain peace within their culture. I don't have a label, but if I had to have one - it would be Faith Walker. I walk by faith and not by sight. However, I guess many would say I am somewhere between a Messianic and a Nazarene. The Nazarene Jews are the sect that Peter, Matthew, Mark, etc came from. But, I have no opinion concerning anyone else's religion or belief. As long as they believe in our Father and hopefully in His Son, all is right in my world. One last tidbit for you, Jeepers, in case you didn't know. Torah is the name of the Pentateuch (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy). So when John 1:1 says "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God," what it's really saying is that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Torah. Torah is what the Jews guard with all of their heart. It's kind of beautiful don'tcha think? Thanks for replying! Looking forward to learning more about you.
  9. Hello ladies, I'm sure the title of my post threw some of you off. During my time of intense teaching with the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), I was led to the Jewish people and I have begun to learn her ways. Let me assure you, I am not a Jew. However, I do celebrate and keep the Sabbath and I thought (if you don't mind), I would let my joy spill over and bless you as well. So, with that in mind, I will tell you what the title means. For those who don't know, Hebrew is read from right to left. With that in mind, the above title means "Family, peaceful Sabbath." Shabbat = Sabbath Shalom = Peace Mispacha = Family And that is what we are. A family. As for the Sabbath, it starts at sundown on Friday and ends sundown on Saturday. It's a gift from the Father in that in His wisdom and compassion, He instituted a day for us to rest. It's a day of love, rest, peace and worship of our Father. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His name. - Psalm 100:4 I am thankful that as this week draws to a close, that I still have my health, my family, my home and each and every one of you. May you have a terrific weekend and renew your strength through your rest in Him. Shabbat Shalom! Eliana
  10. Hello ladies! I can't tell you how pleased but surprised I was to receive the email from Darlene. I was reminded of Scripture: Ezekiel 36:24 CJB "For I will take you from among the nations, gather you from all the countries, and return you to your own soil." Now, I know that verse is speaking literally of the gathering together of Israel, but it's fitting. It's so good to be back. I've truly missed the fellowship here. I can't remember what my former screen name was, nor can I remember what year I was here. It wouldn't matter. That person died and was created anew through the compassion and mercy of the Lord. So many wondrous things have happened for all of us that I see it will take some time to get acquainted again. Several times over the last few years I have tried to reconnect with our Father, but it only lasted a few months. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Well, He awakened me, fully and completely about a year and a half ago'ish. I am re-dedicated 100% to His service and for my purposes, use the name Eliana. It's Hebrew for "God has answered." One day I will tell you all why it's so fitting. :) I am a stay at home wife, mother of three, grandmother of four, and best of all - fur mom of 8. I love to garden, but since I am urban - don't get to do much of it. I love reading, especially the Word, writing, and cooking. I look forward to hearing your stories - both bittersweet and the victorious! Much love and Shalom, Eliana
