  1. MC, I store the Industrial size rolls of TP for Long Term. According to my calculations each box of six rolls is equivalent to roughly 41 rolls of Charmin Basic. For me, it's a space issue. I have five boxes stacked in a corner that takes up very little space.
  2. Just got back from Wallyworld. Price of Great Value pasta has gone up from .99# to $1.08 in the past two weeks. Borden Cheddar Cheese block has gone up from $2.08 to $2.18 in the past two weeks. Edit to add: I posted earlier that store brand Cream Cheese had gone from $1.39 to $1.79 in just a week or so. Today, less than three weeks later it is now $1.98.
  3. (((Ambergris!))) We had a change of plans yesterday, ended up eating McD's. Tonight will be leftover stuffed shrooms with salad and mac and cheese.
  4. Summer Squash...about two years ago it was .99# then it went to $1.29#. Been there for two years. This week...$1.49#. Seriously?? For SUMMER SQUASH??
  5. Our food prices have always been higher than what I've noticed from other parts of the country. Our meat and produce prices are absolutely ridiculous but these two jumped out at me last week. In just one week, literally from Friday to Friday, Enchilada Sauce from $1.00 to $1.25, Cream Cheese from $1.39 to $1.79 (store brand - Philly brand was over $2). Everything else is way up too. "Sale" prices for B/S Chicken Breast are $2.19 pound, a few months ago I could find it on sale for $1.79. A couple weeks ago I found it on sale halfway across town for $1.79 and made the trip out there. Bo
  6. Glad to hear you are taking positive steps. Once you get it all organized and in to a rythym it will be easy to maintain and keep up with.
  7. No, it's a recipe I've had forever. There's tons of variations on the interet. Basically it's just cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, bacon and tomato. You can jazz it up with other things but I kept it simple for the sandwiches. Tonight will be spaghetti, I think. I've got leftover sauce and noodles in the fridge that need to be used up.
  8. Last night I put a whole new spin on something. I love Bacon-Tomato Dip/Spread and thought...I wonder if this would make a good Grilled Cheese Sandwich...the answer..YES! It was warm, ooey-gooey cheesy, bacony, tomatoey goodness in a grilled sandwich and we really liked it! Tonight...Leftovers from the week. A lone Turkey Burger and a couple of Bean Burrito's.

  11. LOL Viggie!! We ate almost the exact same thing! I did http://www.food.com/...casserole-49088 but subbed Refried Beans for the Beef. We really liked the way the Mushroom Soup added a depth of flavor to the Enchilada Sauce.
  12. Found some new recipes over the weekend and for fun tried a spin on Pillsbury Cheeseburger Pie last night. One of the reviewers said it tasted like a Quarter Pounder so I thought, hey, why not. I didn't have the crescent rolls so I added potatoes instead. It was OK. Nothing we'd eat again but it was fun to try. Tonight is a new found Mexican Casserole. Subbing Refried Beans for the Beef and making it Burrito style instead of messing with all the layering. ETA: Wowza! Sorry about the "heat" Mt. Rider! I hope your taste buds recovered!
  13. Tell me about this...is it just the soup and a can of Chinese Veggies or is there something more to it? It sounds interesting.
