I've started prepping my home for the coming winter now. I've wrapped my pipes with extra insulation and I also added more insulation in my attic. As far as food, I started canning the last of my fruits and vegetables.

This is awesome. Im definately going to buy one. Even if you can generate power through solar, washin machines burn so much energy. Thanks for the post.

Awesome information! I definately agree that in order to give yourself the best odds at surviving, you have to join foreces with your neighbors. A group of 3-5 people can do much more than 1 person. I don't know about you but farming is tough work and you can always use an extra set of hands.
