  6. Gotta give dh the lock and key, hiccup, oops.
  7. I'm feeling fairly confident right now with my preps for my family. Never 100% and because I am not a nurse/doctor that area does concern me. Then there is security. Another of my worry/concern begins with extended family. We have mentioned the importance of preps to a few family members of influence and had hopefully thought that would trickle down to the others. Unfortunately investments of other things such as money is more important even though alot of them live in a hot earthquake zone. They don't get it. Soooo my concern lies with them. Allthough we have an area to quarantine them in the event of a pandemic, food and water would be a very BIG issue. Always have to be realistic as to what we could do for others. What I would like to do for others is another story and not reality at this point. My children will always be my first concern as they are my responsibility and my job as a parent is to take complete care of them. I think I will feel angry because people we love and care for didn't listen and therefore may die. It will be a very sad day for us.
  8. Yes, you only have until 5:00. Ooops, hold on, haven't got the o.k. yes we will redraw confirmation from the boss on that yet.
  9. Txcowgirl? Does she know yet? Okay, if she doesn't post by 5:00 your time today, do we get to re draw? Darlene? Good idea.
  10. This is the kind of news that will certainly get my attention. Thank you for the links.
  11. I put the corn, husks on, directly in the freezer. That's it.
  12. ROFL, this is funny Mamacat! Thx, for sharing.
  13. Good luck with the interview LS. This morning I woke up all stuffed up, guess I got a bit of a cold. Been working alot outdoors so I'm feeling a bit drained today. It rained alot last night so I'm making chicken soup and relaxing today, no outdoor chores for me. Have a good one.
  14. I don't know why but I getting a vision of Westie just shaking her head, slowly shaking her head...
  15. I'm reading this, I'm scrolling up, OH MY GOSH, she is not kidding the picture is right there to prove it! ROFL I'm just jealous, I'll get over it, yep I will.
  16. Hey everyone, sounds great! I've just been slaving around here feeding and caring for chicks, chickens, people, plants and now I am currently deciding which chickens to cull. Seperated them all. Speckles was almost in the pot today then she decided to lay a small egg. Seems to me I'm only getting 2 eggs/day out of the 4 hens so it's time.
  17. I'm forced to tell the truth. My pirate name really is, Bloody Ethel Rackham. The sound of that name makes me cringe...it's the "bloody". Hope that's not a bad word around here or that would be strike 2 for me. Every pirate lives for something different. For some, it's the open sea. For others (the masochists), it's the food. For you, it's definitely the fighting. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr I went back and redid and this is what I got. I changed one answer, yes I fessed up and was 100% truthful this time. Unfortunatley rather than my true love being the sea, I would be heartbroken if my true love was engaged to another person.
  18. My pirate name is: Captain Ethel Rackham Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr! Shiver me timbers! ROFL
  19. Congratulations! I'm still shaking my head in disbelief at the generosity of Darlene! Just amazing! I had to tell Dh twice what the draw was and he couldn't believe she would be willing to send it anywhere in the world. He thought that in in itself was fantastic.
