Last, but not least not everyone talks like that in the south, most of us are in the 21st century....

Ha, Ha, yes we do talk like that, no we are not really in the 21 century like the rest of the country in lots of ways ( we like it that way too)

I grew up in Mi- it was pop - moved to Ft. Lauderdale- it was Soda -around here (Deep South)- it is Coke- no matter what you want- I try not to drink Cokes anymore though -Water is my choice bottled drink.
  2. Cream of Chicken Soup

This sause mix can be substituted for creamed, condensed soups (mushroom, chicken, ect.)

    3 cups

    2 cups nonfat dry milk

    3/4 cup cornstarch

    1/4 instant chicken bouillon

2 Tablespoons dried onion flakes (or chopped)

    1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

Pour the ingredients in a quart jar. Put on lid and shake to mix.

To substitute for 1 can of soup - combine 1/3 cup mix with 1 cup of water, heat until thickened.

For variety add mushrooms, onions, celery, or bits of meat. To make an herb sauce add 1 teaspoon of ground dry thyme & 1 teaspoon ground dry basil to dry quart jar.

  3. This sound like so much fun and I would love to try-

but I have a question, Have any of you ever tried to figure out an aproximate cost per bar? Does it save any money to make your own soap -or is it just for the joy of doing?
