  1. sorry your having a rough time with your son if hes worried about not haveing his pen with him he can find one of those baby bottle holders made like a lunchbox with a small ice pack that has just been kept in the ice box I see them all the time at second hand stores or garage sells, my mil is going thru similar tough love thing bc one of her sons was living rent free in her husbands rental house but now its in probate and going to be sold i said sorry but my opiinion is if you can buy alcohol and other things you dont need time to grow up and pay rent somewhere esle
  2. wow philbe that gives me alot to think about and look into, thanks jeepers thats what I told my brother who is taking the kids if we should pass at the same time to let the kids say goodbye within the 24 hr period then cremate us bc everything gets so expensive and the kids will need the money more than we need a grand going away ceremony, they wanted almost $900 to move my fil to a church 2 blocks away from the funeral home thats just robbery!
  3. Wow I cant express enough the improtance of having a will made up, up until now Ive always been in the background of the funeral being the grandaughter or great niece but now my father in law has passed and cant believe everything that has to be dealt with from dealing with the departed to banks and now with who get what but now thats not in our hands anymore it has went into probate bc of state laws. So please check with your state laws and see what you have to do to protect your loved ones from a big headache here in Oklahoma its as simple as typing your wishes out and having it notarized with two witnesses. This is not something anyone ever want to think about but I know after this past week and the continuing headaches we have made out a rough draft of who is taking the kids if we pass at the same time and all our other wishes and will be finalizing it soon.
  4. Got laundry going and helped cleaned the 2 boys room trying to go thru some stuff for when we move they dont play with so much stuff and the babys not a baby anymore but it just pulls on my heartstrings getting rid of stuff lol guess its time to put my big girl panties on or well have a house full of stuff at the new place and no room for us. When DH get up he has to go to work today so I get to take the 4 kiddos to the store with me yippee:) lol. Well I guess its time to get motivated again for some reason stuff doesnt clean or pack itself. have a great saturday everyone.
  5. has she gotten a second opinion?my son would of died as an infant if I hadnt have come to the conclusion that Drs are not God and dont know everything. I would see if the older one could get her tossils and adnoids out, my 2nd son did this and is on a allergy nose spray and his runny nose and cough of a year has gone away and his appetite is much better finally gaining weight. Do they go to school or daycare? we changed schools systems this year and my 4 kids have been sick more than their entire life like their are more germs here or something.
  6. thats wonderful, and Im glad someone else knows how to stuff a bag also lol, what a blessing
  7. have a great day Philbe will be praying for your sis
  8. oh I wish I could find milk for that price, if I did I would proably make a trip to my car and then back in lol, its up to 3.29 at my aldis now:(
  9. If you have an Aldis close by might want to stop and check their potatoes my local ad didnt have them in the paper but in store 10lbs russet potatoes were 99cents a bag cant beat that seeing walmart wants over 3.50 for the same bag, also celery was .29 cents. onion bag .69 bag and box butter still 1.99, good luck!
  10. thanks for the info, we live in northwest ok right now but we dont love it enough to call home so when we get taxes back we will move into our new home cant wait to not be paying a house payment and rent lol, our new place is about 45 mins east of robbers cave we went there spring 2011 loved it except we stayed in a cabin and hubby didnt like that the lake was down the entrance road and across the main road so he couldnt just walk out and go fishing cant please them all the time now can we lol
  11. I need a GPS to navigate around large cities! LOL With all the signs it's hard to read them & be where you're supposed to be. That is so me! My husband just turned down a job in kansas city mo even though it was good pay (I know kind of stupid)but oh my gosh it made me so sick trying to drive around my stomach was upset and horrible headaches from trying to concentrate on those dang signs lol. We even had a little talk about how it would be good for the kids to grow up around the city for the culture and not end up nervous wrecks like us then two weeks after we get back we went on vacation and bought a mobile home and land on the outskirts of a lake and the Ouachita mountains in south eastern oklahoma lol talk about culture shock they dont even have a Walmart! lol but I cant wait to buy the kids a dog and take them on walks like the ones you write about. On a side note why do I need to save Unopened food (cereal) in mylar bags with oxygen obsorbers? is this for extended storage like after 6 months? thanks
  12. Mine is looking funky too, I have no idea what system is running it whatever my hubby set up lol.
  13. haha that sounds like my kids, somewhat similar I asked my 9 yr old to hand up his clothes and a couple days later I went to get a rubbermade bucket out of the corner of his room and there was all his clothes shoved behind it? maybe we have giant rats that like boy clothes lol I asked him what the deal was and he said his closet still had clothes in it so he would feel spoiled with the rest in it haha nice try boy if you want me to unspoil you I will find a better way trust me now go put you clothes up! lol gotta love them
  14. sorry i cant help were a family of 6 and struggle to stay under $800 for all consumables good luck
  15. I read somewhere to hang onions in panty hose with a knot tied in between them to keep them fresh longer not sure how long they would last though bc we go thru them so fast lol.
  16. im not a canner yet but I always heard that you werent suppose to use them on a glasstop but I may be wrong
  17. I think you're exercising some magnificent wisdom! I'm fearful of cannng myself, that's why I don't! We had our Vita-Mixer going and hubby forgot to put top on...had hot soup all over him, me, the ceiling, the stove, the frig...you name it...major clean up! It cured me of canning. If it had been a presser canning we both would probably have gotten burnt severly...it was hot enough anyway! And losing power is one of my biggies of freezing. Again, I LOVE MY DEHYDRATORS!!! oops...forgot something! Go online and find youtube's dehydrate2store lady. She is magnifico! She's the one that convinced me of dehydrating...then, katzcradul is another lady I enjoy! Have fun!!! Thanks for the sites going to look at them now, I didnt really wanna do wash anyways lol. thanks
  18. Great find, I was just telling my husband this morning that I was going to find a book or computer info on dehydrating im not scared of it like I am canning lol I have tons of veggies in the frezzer that have been on great clearance at Aldis hate to loose them if we are without power.
  19. My kids were recently sick and you cant give many things to kids under 4 but I fould some stuff at walmart thats the Similisan brand its all natural ingrdients and they have different formulas like cold, flu, allergy, the one I got worked amazing for their coughs and runny noses and I was able to give it to my 2yr old which is great bc in the past all I was told was to spray stuff up his nose and we all know that doesnt go over well, Mucinex works good for my older ones but I think im going to stock up on these varieties and try them first.
  20. so greatful of the kindness violet has showed me on my questions, and all is true on fb makes me laugh and reminds me of the commercial of the lady waiting for her french model that she met and set a date up with on the internet and she tells her friend he has to be real bc it was on the net lol
  21. thanks I guess I was just a little worried although looks like I might stay away from rabbits hopefully get us bigger game like deer, I had chickens and pigs growin up but as a kid it wasnt our job to worry if it was safe to eat you just ate it, and its a good point about meat form the store have bought my fair share of meat that had to be thrown out, thanks for making me worry less
  22. We will be moving out of the city and husband has been talking about hunting and eating things like rabbits, squriel and deer says he did when he was a kid, my question is how do we know its not sick and we wont get sick he says just cook it like I usually do meat(burning it lol) and it will be fine, anybody else hunt these things?
  23. Question, 2 of my children are on the persciption adderall for adhd one can be taken off if necessary but the other cannot, I can get but only a 30day script bc its a controlled substance, should I look into homeopatic meds to keep in case of emergency and cant go to the dr or pharmacy for months if things go south and has anyone used any good substitues for adhd meds or just know of a good company to buy quality meds from? thanks
