Guest Guest
Ok, I'm on a roll now... I like having these contests and since Evergreen won the last contest in the Homeschooling Haven, I decided to come here... I have been thinking for YEARS for a catchy title for our kitchen forum and have tried a few but nothing seems to fit just right. In the kitchen just sounds so blahblahblah to me, that I figured I'd hit y'all up again and start another contest... We'll run this one for a week too, I don't plan on any surgery interrupting that and making it longer this time lol...I'll give out another $20 amazon.com gift certificate for the one that comes up with the best title for our kitchen forum... So, help me out here please and let's have some fun...this is one of my most FAVORITE forums of all, and always has been, so let's think up something special! Good luck! Link to comment

Guest Guest
How 'bout... 'The Savvy Servin' Spoon'? or we 'borrow' a title from the Food Network...and call it 'The Food Network'! or 'Good Eats'? or La Cocina? or La Cocina de Bonita Comida? (Somehow, I know this isn't quite right- I always goof when trying to translate.) Link to comment

motherearth
Heart of the Home As Darlene said... Quote: It's the room that I've loved and laughed in, cried and ranted and raved in...been absolutely terrified in, felt absolutely safe in...it's the room that I give a piece of myself to others in when I serve them what I've cooked and it's the one room in the house that can fill the rest of my home with comforting smells and memories. It's MY space that I enjoy sharing with others and it's the place where everyone knows they can come and feel better...whether it be by filling their tummies or listening as they unload the weights on their hearts. The kitchen for me, is the central operating zone of my home. To me this means that our kitchens are the Heart of the Home. Link to comment

Guest Guest
boring me.. I like 'In the Kitchen' because it describes more then just cooking/recipes. It is the center of most peoples homes, where most of the conversation is done. Link to comment

Guest Guest
Keeping the Home Fire Burning Hearth of the Home The Kitchen Hearth Making Home Memories By the Old Cookstove Around the Kitchen Table It's so true. As I look back at my younger years, most of my memories are of the kitchen. My Mom started me cooking when I was about 6 and had me in a children's cooking class when I was 8. I was always in the kitchen with my Mom, and all of our family gatherings originated at the table. Link to comment
