Skillet Cookies

Recommended Posts

I think this is a neat idea that would work well in the fireplace if the utilities went out:

Of course, this could be done with any cast iron skillet, but this one would make the cookies easier to remove. The skookie is also sold on QVC's website. The set consists of 2 pans plus cookie mix. I plan on making my own cookie mix in the future.

I'm wondering why any cookie recipe couldn't be used, as I won't buy a mix. smile

How big is the pan?? I didn;t see a size in the description...

If regular cookie mix didn't work, why couldn't you use a recipe like for Tollhouse bars (didn I spell that right??...doesn't look right to me LOL! A.K.A. chocolate chip cookie bars!!)

I am gonna try this out in one of my CI pans!

What a neat idea!! Those cast iron griddle pans are widely available around here...I have one I got at Wal Mart for less than $10, I think. I've seen them at Academy too, and I think K Mart as well.

Never would have thought of using them for cookies! Thanks for the idea!
