This thread is called "Replanting Store Bought Onions", but these ladies also talk about replanting and reseeding potatoes, tomatoes, pineapples and more with grocery store produce and leftovers.

 

I think the term is "sustainable" gardening...good if commercial seeds aren't available...

This is VITAL in a time of DIY stuff.

 

I do this with onions and the occasional sprouted potatoe. The garden stores ran out of potatoe seedlings this year or I would be trying them as well.
