The evidence actually points to the exact opposite, that this season will have LESS deaths from flu than last year." All the way through July or so of 1918, that flu was written up in medical journals as an anomaly - it was being questioned whether or not it was actually the flu because of how mild it was. And, just for grins and because YES MY BRAIN WENT THERE: "For example, how many people have heard of bocavirus, which is responsible for bronchitis and pneumonia in young children, or metapneumovirus, responsible for more than 5 percent of all flu-related illnesses? This is true during every flu season and this year is no different." Hmmm...if you get Mad Cow Disease from cows, do you get bocavirus from Boca burgers? Link to comment
