SueC
Sometimes we get a quick reminder of how blessed we are. With all the floods in Australia at the moment, our friends and family have not been in danger, and no one has suffered any damage. Then yesterday my BIL and family lost absolutely everything by fire. Their entire life was in storage and they have been living out of suitcases with her Mum, trying to get back on their feet. Someone torched a car outside their storage unit. They had no insurance cover. So now they have nothing and no money. But as Janice has said - they have their lives. Please pray for them it will be hard for them to start over yet again. They have only been back in Australia for 18 months, they lived in Edmonton for many years, pastoring a church there. Janice was also involved in the Luv Edmonton group. Link to comment
zophiel
Oh dear, I certainly will pray for them. How traumatic! Is there anyone they can go to for immediate help getting back on their feet? Link to comment
Virginia
Sometimes folks are really tested, aren't they. So sorry for their troubles. I do hope that kindness and generosity will be theirs in abundance. God bless them. Link to comment

SueC
Thanks for your prayers. At the moment they are ok as they will stay with Janices Mum for longer than they expected. There are many places at the moment re establishing families due to the floods. Australia as a nation is so stretched but also seeing the generousity of people. It just seems to be the last straw in some ways, as they came back to Australia thinking they would have no problem getting work and that hasn't happened, they 'spent' all their savings on expensive rent prior to storing everything and moving in with relatives, so they really are back to nothing. sygnet
It's very disheartening to hear this, and must be devestating to live ethrough, but, as is so often proven... He has a reason. Praying they can keep their Faith, and for better things to come. Link to comment
