TheCG
Cutting out Dr. P is a pain...literally. it makes my head hurt every time, even if I'm consuming caffeine from other sources. Quote Link to comment
Jeepers
I'm a Pepper too. I get the de-caf ones though. Quote Link to comment
The WE2's
When triglycerides are 800 ... you cut it out! :-( I'm not a soda pop person so eliminating pop from my diet is no big deal at all. I'm perfectly content with a cup of coffee in the morning, some Mio in a bottle of water, or a small glass or an occasional beer. But the big 42oz DrP's "every" day took it's toll :-( Quote Link to comment
TheCG
My trigs aren't 800, but I need to cut the sugar and crappy carbs, so out it went. Missed 2 days this work mostly due to headaches, but those could be exacerbated by going very low carb starting Monday. Edited January 10, 2015 by TheCG Quote Link to comment
snapshotmiki
Made a big pot of jambalaya with sausage, chicken and shrimp and lots of veggies (celery, bell peppers, onion, garlic, jalapenos). It is wonderful and all the veggies have to make it a little healthy?!!! Quote Link to comment
Annarchy
Mmmmm.... jambalaya.DH requested hot wings and tater tots. Wing finger chicken stock frozen for later. Quote Link to comment
sassenach
honestly, canned chicken noodle soup, a bunch of french cut green beans and carrots , minimal water from the canned veggies, makes a good stew and plenty of fiber, lol, but not heavy eating. Add whatever else you want for a meal. I just discovered it worked together quite well. Add in oven baked cup of chocolate cake with peanut butter and sprinkle of dark chocolate chips .....hot tea , dessert. ( maybe half that tonight). Quote Link to comment
The WE2's
Worked at Roost today, so ... supper was Bear Creek Chicken/Rice that I made in my 7 qt. pressure cooker...took about 10 minutes :-) I had cottage cheese & olives with mine & MrWE2 had pork & beans. Lazy. Quote Link to comment
Annarchy
Chicken Jerusalem was the answer to "chicken something". Quote Link to comment
The WE2's
Only worked partial day at Roost so had veal cutlets, coos-coos (seasoned), green beans & pork&beans. Started our day very early so breakfast was shredded wheat cereal, lunch was a shared foot long from Subway, and we were really ready for supper! Quote Link to comment
kully
I baked a turkey breast. Of course , my picky one didn't like it but my cat sure did . He began to pester me early and just hung around my feet all day, except when he was in the kitchen. I told my gd that he was acting weird. I found out at supper what was the problem . TURKEY SMELL. I fed him some and it was just what he wanted. Now Kitty just doesn't want cat food any more. Gosh I have a spoiled boy and a spoiled cat. What to fix for tonight????? Oh ,just found out my next door neighbor has passed away, so I will fix something to send over there. Quote Link to comment
Ambergris
Got a big pork roast on sale, put it in the slow cooker to make pulled pork. The schedules and energy levels recently call for a lot of sandwiches. Quote Link to comment
The WE2's
Fresh pot of chili over frito chips...sort of "off" the carb restriction but we were faithful with our large glasses of ACV :-) Quote Link to comment
Suncat
Needed fixin's for the simpler meals we like so today I tossed a beef 7 bone roast AND a pork shoulder roast into the oven AND have the electric roaster full of cooking pinto beans. I'm shredding up the meat.. making taco meat with the beef.. shredded it and then seasoned half with taco seasoning and half with onions, bell peppers and chile, the pork will be tamale filling and carnitas and the beans go with everything Quote Link to comment
Annarchy
Made a batch of basic chicken soup - chicken, carrots, celery, onion, salt, pepper and a 1/2 of a bay leaf. Simmered all day, added some tomato sauce, poured over sliced fried tortillas (tortilla chips), and topped with some shredded cheddar cheese to make it Tortilla Soup. Sometimes I add chicken bullion or tomato bullion to jazz it up. Quote Link to comment
The WE2's
Meatloaf w/stir fried veggies. Blueberries/bananas with crumbled grahams for desert...and a dab of whipped cream. Quote Link to comment
TheCG
Cornbread! Even a skillet that won't sit flat is still good for cornbread! Edited January 27, 2015 by TheCG Quote Link to comment
The WE2's
Speghetti, but I made it with smokie links instead of hamburger etc. VERY tasty indeed! Dessert? Blueberries with mandarin orange pieces mixed in. Quote Link to comment
Annarchy
Oriental stir fry. Quote Link to comment
The WE2's
Last night; salmon steaks, sweet potato fries & salad. Tonight; left over speghetti. Quote Link to comment
Annarchy
We had spaghetti last night. Made a batch of chocolate chip cookies for DH's sweet tooth. Not sure what is for dinner tonight, maybe chicken something. Quote Link to comment
The WE2's
Chicken tenders with a mexican rub, spanish rice and salad. Skipped dessert. Aldi's was having baby carrots and celery on sale BIG time so we needed to get the carrots shredded and into my VacuCraft cannisters as well as chunking up the celery and vacuming them down too. Now...headed out to join a new couple (he's a friend and she's a new date for him) for some 2-stepping :-) Quote Link to comment
Annarchy
Chicken something turned to chicken soup. Warmed the tummy on a drizzling day. Quote Link to comment
The WE2's
Used a birthday coupon from Mr. Goodcents where we bought one and got one free ... so we had a nice sub for lunch and a nice sub for supper. Popcorn when we got home from dancing at the Moose. Quote Link to comment
kyles mom
Homemade chicken noodle soup - It sounded good with the weather we've had. It's snowed for the last 24 hours with about 12 inches of snow on the ground now. Quote Link to comment
