I have just finished my first treatment of Chemo today(2 day process). I have been doing good so far which is good..Chemo just gave my alittle lightheadedness and got me tired. Anyone else going through this or have been through it? Thanks,LadyBlu Link to comment

coastygirl
LadyBlu, ------I have not been through it, and I am sorry that you are going through it. I am glad you are doing well after the first chemo. You also sound like you are a very calm and grounded woman, and that is very admirable. Draw on the inner strength that you have built up and always draw from the close people that you are surrounded by. Although we do not know each other, you can always come here and we can listen and chat and help you keep your spirit high. Wishing you the greatest success with the rest of your treatments ! - C Link to comment
Crazy4Canning
I was not close as my grandma went through it, I just chatted with her on the phone weekly. She said she was worn out and tired. I pray this is successful for you and you have a long, happy, and healthy life. Link to comment

Jeepers
I know plenty of women who have traveled down your road. Every one of them has had different experiences. You sound like you have such a great attitude and that is an important key! I haven't had it personally, but it is in my immediate family so I figure it could be me at any time. That isn't as bad as it sounded. It has helped me prepare and make choices ahead of time. Please keep us updated! Sending you gentle hugs and strong prayers. I hate breast cancer with every fiber of my being. Link to comment

AMarthaByHeart
I will be praying for you--for strength, resolve, peace, that the side effects of chemo would be nil. Take extra care of yourself during this time because you are special. Link to comment
TurtleMama
ladyblu, I haven't had breast cancer, but have a good friend who traveled its difficult road -- diagnosed as a stage 2 -- and came out its other side. Three years later, she is still in remission. I pray for the same success for your journey. May I say how brave I personally feel you are for choosing the double masectomy? That must have been a difficult decision. I sincerely hope that the procedure will stop the cancer in its tracks. I know that when my friend was going through chemo, she was on a very aggressive regimin, as she chose to not have a masectomy. Thus, her chemo had to be really strong to make sure that any cancer they missed in the breast tissue or lymph nodes was taken out by the chemotherapy. I do hope that your chemo will be a gentler experience. If you start to develop any difficult side effects, don't hesitate to ask your doctor about them...there are truly amazing drugs that can help deal with them, especially any nausea you might experience. If you have the time and energy, please keep us up-to-date on your fight with this beast....and it is a beast. I second Jeepers...I hate cancer. In all its forms. God bless you as you undertake this fight...we're here to cheer for you and support you every step of the way! Link to comment
cap
Ladyblu, I am battling breast cancer now. You will get through, keep a good attitude and keep the faith. I found out in June 2011, had chemo, surgery, more chemo and doing radiation now. If you have any questions, PM me and I'll be glad to share my experience. Thankfully my pantry was fully stocked because it was so good to have the extra food when I didn't feel like going to the store. Another reason we should always prepare, health issues came pop up without any warning. Good luck to you, Link to comment

cap
Thank you Jeepers for prayers. My only reason for getting through this journey is God. Without Him it may have been a different outcome. Link to comment
