Amishway Homesteaders
Hey Everyone! Very warm days here and it is December! worked with Amish crew today on pole barn raising and we all were working without coats on. still no snow on ground? Had to come in here everyday and wait for things to load just to say hello but we are doing fine and very busy. Quote Link to comment
blestmomof4
We've been running around in capris/shorts and have all the windows open in December. It's been wonderful! I've been running around trying to take care of my 'end of the year' stuff and the great weather makes it much more enjoyable Quote Link to comment
Mt_Rider
Sunny...heading near 60 degrees again. Wind is up so MEBBE we'll have some moisture blowing in???? Please! Made some minor repairs [again!] on the baffle of the duckhouse roof. What a design flaw that was. Won't be doing that again. [too complicated to describe but suffice it to say, it requires more fiddling/fixin' than is desirable! ] Feels good to have more hay in the barn. The HUGE, GAPING HOLE in the checking account does not feel good, however. $17/regular bale Providentially, DH is now working intermittently on a part-time job. Local and whenever he choses to take an assignment. Assisting with the profoundly disabled population. It will pay for the hay we just bought,.... hauled home, ....hauled on plastic child-toboggans to the barn. A LOT of hauling one by one. ANOTHER design flaw...place the stupid hay barn so you can access it from the driveway! Duh! I want a Do Over ......the physical layout is SO important for efficient use of time and ENERGY [which DH and I find we have less and less of each year!]. MtRider Quote Link to comment

Cold and windy maybe get to 40 if we are lucky. Snowing off and on but nothing on ground yet? Had to go back to jobsite but everyone had gone home for the day, good for them as the Flu is making it rounds and we done need anyone else sick in Amish area. Quote Link to comment
