Off to college

I'm setting here trying not to cry. DD1 is on her way to college.

I'm happy and sad at the same time.

I know how you are feeling. DD3 will be going to college a few hours away tomorrow and DD2 is going to college here in town next week. Now if DD3 would just start packing....

Neither of mine went to college...but when they left home to "fly on their own wings" it took awhile to adjust to the "empty nester" life. Now I love it :-) But you can be assured...they're not "gone" ... LOL They'll land periodically!

Her Dad and Brother took her. I stayed with DD2.

DD2 is a high school freshman and started school last week. Son we put in the school system south of us. It's a smaller school system that's more farm oriented which he loves. He starts Monday.

 

I know she will do well and has to growup and leave sometime.

 

dogmom4, some of her freinds reproduced and never moved out.

I'll take her going to college even if it's 6 hours away.
