WormGuy
http://money.cnn.com/2013/10/17/autos/toyota-spiders-airbag-recall/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 *Snip* Toyota is recalling 870,000 vehicles because a problem with an air conditioner part could cause airbags to deploy unnecessarily. In some cases, the problem was caused by spiders. Sometimes, their webs can create a blockage in a drainage tube coming from the air conditioning condenser. That can cause water to drip down onto an airbag control module, causing a short circuit. That, in turn, could cause the airbag warning light to light up on the dashboard and it could even cause the driver's side airbag to deploy... The vehicles involved are model year 2012 and 2013 Camrys, Venzas and Avalons, including hybrid versions of those cars. John Quote Link to post
Necie
Well, dang! Got my hopes up. I have a Toyota. The air doesn't work. It does have spiders. Are spiders attracted to Toyotas for some reason? LOL Anywho... was thinking *maybe* it was a recall to get air fixed. But... nope. My Toyota is a Corolla... 1997. ROFLMBO At least I don't have to worry about some arachnid popping me in the nose with my own airbag. Quote Link to post
